A'niaqoro is a fluid world with an oceanic geography of a liquid other than water such as ammonia, methane, hydrocarbons, or other exotic liquids. The system supports a population of fewer than 10,000 sophonts. This is a cold world with an overall climate at the lower temperature range of human-congruous sophont endurance. It is a member of Third Imperium in the Zeda Subsector of Dagudashaag Sector and in the Domain of Vland. A'niaqoro, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial knight, a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world. During the Long Night this world was named Aamka.
Astrography and Planetology[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Mainworld Data[edit]
A'niaqoro is a cold, ice-capped water world with unusually high gravity. The extremely dense atmosphere is tainted with tiny organic spores. Breathing is difficult in the extreme pressure without artificial assistance. It is made considerably more dangerous by the presence of the spores, which clog filters and, if breathed, quickly fill the lungs.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
A'niaqoro is a Big World between 13,600km and 15,200km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 1G and 1.3G. The horizon will appear about 5.4km away. Vessels with only 1G of thrust should avoid landing on this world.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
A'niaqoro has an Exotic Atmosphere and possesses an unusual gas mix which requires the use of oxygen tanks. Additionally, protective suits, while not necessary, are recommended. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
A'niaqoro has 95-100% of its surface covered by liquid water with only a few islands and archipelagos. Wilderness refueling is possible. Such worlds are Water Worlds or Ocean Worlds.
Native Lifeform: Hallija Weed[edit]
The non-aqueous oceans contain an over-abundance of exotic life, particularly an aquatic plant, Hallija Weed, that floats on the oceanic surface. A'niaqoro's major industry is gathering the seed pods of Hallija Weed, which can be processed to extract a compound used in the synthesis of a natural form of combat drug.
History and Background[edit]
Almost all of the inhabitants are ethnic Ziadd.
World Starport (Sp)[edit]
A'niaqoro has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World Population (P)[edit]
A'niaqoro has a population of 1,000 sophonts (thousands).
- This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without a little outside assistance. This may represent the home base of a sizable but mostly transient population such as the base of a major starship expedition, the last generation of a dying colony, the first generation of a new colony, or a large outpost that will probably evolve into a colony if not stopped.
World Demographics[edit]
Linguistic Topography[edit]
The following languages are among the most commonly used here:
- Anglic: One of the two official languages of the Third Imperium.
- Klatha'sh: The common language of the Ziadd.
- Vilani: One of the two official languages of the Third Imperium.
Urbanization[edit]
Ziadd structures tend to be solid and blocky and are usually heavily decorated. Many fly flags and banners declaring allegiance and status.
World Technology Level[edit]
A'niaqoro possesses a Technology Level of TL–12 or TL-C in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-3.
World Government[edit]
A'niaqoro is governed by Self-Perpetuating Oligarchy. A single family or small group provides the leadership and important positions within the government. These positions are inherited by members of the group or by their relatives. The organization may be a monarchy, with titles passed to family members, or a plutocracy where inheritance of the family fortune includes government position. Alternatively, the organization may be a more typical government apparatus, only with positions of power inherited.
World Law (L)[edit]
A'niaqoro has a low law level. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate. Machine guns, other automatic weapons, portable energy weapons, and other military weapons, body pistols, explosives, and poison gas are typically regulated or prohibited.
