The Swift Missive class Courier is a TL–15 Courier Vessel.

Description (Specifications)

Lightly armed, with only a pair of triple sandcaster turrets and a pair of triple missile turrets. It carries an extra four weeks of power plant fuel to allow one jump 6 and eight weeks on station monitoring enemy activity.

History & Background (Dossier)

Designed to provide the maximum jump range in a courier vessel it has been pressed into many other roles over the course of its service life. The hull is cramped and utilitarian in design. The computer is not up to normal imperial fleet standards and is just enough to permit the complex navigational calculations necessary to plot jump 6 operations.
