Sabine Subsector is located solidly within Imperial Space.

Description[edit]

Sabine is divided into two astrographic regions.

The first region has high technology, significant megacorporate trade, and is fully integrated into the Imperium, containing a complicated Xboat nexus and two worlds, Magash and Thengin (Deneb 0518), of major importance to the entire sector. They connect the major military-industrial world of Rhylanor (Spinward Marches 2716) with industrial powerhouses and vast shipyards in Vincennes and Usani subsectors.

The second region, near the border of the Spinward Marches and Deneb, is informally known as the Sabine Backwater and includes a cluster of low population worlds largely forgotten by the Imperium.

The largest Main in Deneb is the Sabinar Main, which connects many worlds in Sabine and Inar subsectors.

Native Sophonts[edit]

There are no Sophont species native to the Sabine Subsector.

Summary[edit]

History & Background[edit]

Historical Eras[edit]

Sabine, originally designated District 218, was settled primarily between 298 and 366, with Magash (world) hosting the first colony.

Sabine was admitted into the Imperium in 366.

The 195th fleet was headquartered at Bahadur (Deneb 0716) through 1202. In the Regency era it was supplemented by the trailing swing fleet, the 55th Fleet, based at Marnie's World (Deneb 0514)[1]

These are some of the more important historical events that have affected this subsector:

Politics and Diplomacy : Milieu 1116[edit]

Sabine, subsector E of Deneb contains 27 worlds with an estimated population of 13 billion, a per capita income of Cr11,252, and a total economy is BCr157,172. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr7,719 through 19 starports (5 Class A, 5 Class B, 5 Class C, 4 Class D) employing 1,910,000 people. Driving this interstellar trade are three Agricultural (Ag) worlds, three Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, five Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, four Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, one Rich (Ri) world, and one Industrial (In) world. The governments in Sabine maintain six Scout bases, and four Naval bases. The average technology level is 8 (with most between 5 and 11). The highest technology level is 15 at Magash (Deneb 0316).

Sabine, subsector E of Deneb contains 38 stars and 290 identified planets; 17 monostellar systems, nine binary systems, one trinary system, and no systems with four or more stars. 25 of the 27 systems (92%) have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, no Desert (De) worlds, one Garden (Ga) world, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, two Poor (Po) worlds, four Vacuum (Va) worlds, and one Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) world.

Sabine has an estimated population of 13 billion distributed across two High population (Hi) worlds, six Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 11 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, six Low population (Lo) worlds, and one Barren (Ba) world. The highest population worlds are Magash (Deneb 0316) and Thengin (Deneb 0518). The population consists of 1 sophont groups.
