Orvon Subsector is a relative backwater with a considerable income, but a lack of interstellar interest.

  • Despite large clusters and considerable astrographic density, a number of smaller rifts block consistent J-1 traffic through the subsector.
  • The Imperial Nobility of the subsector are seeking megacorporate interest to fund jump bridges.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

The area has several significant trade routes and is notable for reliable postal routes as well. Several of the local sub-polities have formed considerable trade agreements and postal unions. Imperial Naval patrols have been very effective at minimizing corsairs and local piracy.

Subsector Summary: 1105[edit]

Orvon, subsector P of Daibei contains 37 worlds with an estimated population of 13 billion, a per capita income of Cr5,577, and a total economy is BCr77,440. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr4,068 through 33 starports (6 Class A, 10 Class B, 14 Class C, 3 Class D) employing 654,780 people. Driving this interstellar trade are four Agricultural (Ag) worlds, seven Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, two Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, six Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, two Rich (Ri) worlds, and one Industrial (In) world. The governments in Orvon maintain four Naval bases, and two Scout bases. The average technology level is 10 (with most between 8 and 13). The highest technology level is 14 at Mgg (Daibei 2535), Caverna (Daibei 2536), Knossos (Daibei 2737), Clusium (Daibei 2833), Antsalova (Daibei 2931), and Corcyra (Daibei 2938).

Orvon, subsector P of Daibei contains 53 stars and 392 identified planets; 22 monostellar systems, 14 binary systems, one trinary system, and no systems with four or more stars. 32 of the 37 systems (86%) have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, no Desert (De) worlds, two Garden (Ga) worlds, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, three Poor (Po) worlds, four Vacuum (Va) worlds, and three Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.

Orvon has an estimated population of 13 billion distributed across three High population (Hi) worlds, five Moderate population (Ph) worlds, seven Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, 15 Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population worlds are Mgg (Daibei 2535), Orvon (Daibei 2935), and Tura (Daibei 3239). The population consists of 1 sophont groups.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Much of the subsector wasn't settled until well into the Interstellar Wars period, and only had late period Ziru Sirka settlementy and sporadic Terran colonization. No one has yet found higher intelligence NIL's in the subsector although several candidates for proto-sophonts have been argued over by preeminent sophontologists. The area is currenty dominated by the Third Imperium in 1105 although considerable Solomani trade flows through the area.
