• It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
• It is a member of the Grand United States of Quesada, which is a member state of the Solomani Confederation, in the Quesada Subsector of Aldebaran Sector.

• This world has a Naval Base, usually associated with military starships.
• This world has a Military Base, usually associated with military ground forces.

Antofalla has a pressure of 0.43 to 0.70 atmospheres. The Thin Atmosphere does not require survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)

Antofalla has 35-45% of its surface covered by liquid water. There will be a number of small seas or one larger body of water. Wilderness refueling is possible.

Antofalla has a narrow equatorial oceanic-band with high barrier mountains at the north and south tropics. These mountains contain a significant number of volcanoes. The polar regions are largely desert.

Native flora flourish in the great oceanic valley. There is dense but low-lying plant line on the mountains.

History & Background (Dossier)

The Quesadan Inquisition is known to be active on the world. It is a religiously sponsored investigative agency that is charged with rooting out heretical thinking. It has the authority to detain and question individuals.

Solomani Security keeps a close eye on things to ensure the security of the Confederation and the well-being of its loyal citizens. Almost anyone could be a SolSec informant, passing on all sorts of useful information: some gain a reward or benefit for their actions, others are coerced, but many see it as an act of duty to help protect the Solomani state and its interests.

World Starport (St)

Antofalla has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

• Delphinic Trinary, the principal language of Dolphins.
• Latin, an ancient Terran language used by the Church of Quesada.
• Quesadan Spanish, an Iberian Dialect of the Spanish subfamily of languages of Terran origin spoken principally in the Grand United States of Quesada.
• Rim Anglic, a dialect of Anglic and the principal language of the Confederation.
  • It is a second language within the Grand United States.

World Military

Antofalla maintains a constantly patrolling wet Navy. Its army is maintained generally for emergency response.

Antofalla depends on the system Solomani Naval and Military bases for system defense.

World Economy

Antofallan economy focuses on agriculture and aquaculture. The oceanic valley has extremely fertile volcanic soils, and the ocean is both deep and filled with indigenous and transplanted fish. There is also a significant tourism economy.

Beyond these foci, Antofalla has a developed global economy, if thin in a few areas.

Trade Data

Exports are primarily exotic fish. Imports vary according to industrial and commercial trends.

World Culture

Antofallan culture is unique. The standard Rim Anglic is spoken in almost a sing-song, musical way with local dialect words thrown in. There are frequent street fairs and neighborhood parties.

Cooking and baking are highly regarded skills, and often displayed in contests. In general, food and energy are cheap and plentiful on Antofalla.

The local calendar is called the fortnight calendar which has 15-day weeks called fortnights around a 3-day weekend in the middle and a 2-day weekend at the end.
