Subsector H of Core Sector.

Description (Specifications)

The Kaskii Subsector has a low stellar density but a surprisingly high population. With only 24 star systems -- the fewest in all of the Core -- it is home to the second-highest number of people in the sector, second only to Saregon Subsector.

The Kaskii Subsector is defended by 4th Fleet.

Subsector Summary: 1105

Kaskii, subsector H of Core, contains 24 worlds with an estimated combined population of 226 billion, a per capita income of Cr9,391, and a total economy of BCr2,122,420. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr9,972 through 21 starports (3 Class A, 11 Class B, 5 Class C, 2 Class D) employing 2,061,950 people. Driving this interstellar trade are two Agricultural (Ag) worlds, four Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, one Pre-Industrial (Pi) world, no Rich (Ri) worlds, and three Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Kaskii maintain three Naval bases and one Scout base. The average technology level is 10 (with most between 7 and 12). The highest technology level is 15 at Kaskii (Core 3218).

Kaskii, subsector H of Core, contains 38 stars and 261 identified planets; 12 monostellar systems, ten binary systems, two trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 21 of the 24 systems (87%) have native gas giants. There are one Asteroid (As) belt, no Desert (De) worlds, no Garden (Ga) worlds, one Ice-capped (Ic) world, four Poor (Po) worlds, five Vacuum (Va) worlds, and two Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.

Kaskii has an estimated population of 226 billion distributed across seven High population (Hi) worlds, two Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 12 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, two Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population worlds are Khuir (Core 2513), Lemiki (Core 3118), Kaskii (Core 3218), and Laudum (Core 3011). The population consists primarily of 4 sophont groups, including two native sophonts.

Third Imperium

The Third Imperium has jurisdiction over all of the worlds with an estimated combined population of 226 billion, a per capita income of Cr9,391, and a total economy of BCr2,122,420. The governments in the Third Imperium maintain three Naval bases and one Scout base within the subsector. The average technology level is 10 (with most between 7 and 12). The highest technology level is 15 at Kaskii (Core 3218).

The Third Imperium has an estimated population of 226 billion within the subsector, distributed across seven High population (Hi) worlds, two Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 12 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, two Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population worlds are Khuir (Core 2513), Lemiki (Core 3118), Kaskii (Core 3218), and Laudum (Core 3011). History & Background (Dossier)

Most worlds in the subsector were barely populated when the Third Imperium was established. There were two reasons why this changed as rapidly as it did.

The first was the betrayal of the Wayward Worlds. When 10 systems from the original Sylean Federation refused to join the fledgling Third Imperium, the Syleans expanded their presence to trailing of Capital. The second was the desire of the Syleans to build a cultural legacy.
