History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Empress Marava was born on Kaskii, and there was a great deal of excitement about it during her short reign as one of the many Emperors of the Flag. A small and struggling starship architecture firm on Kaskii called Bilitig und Dottir commemorated Marava’s rise to power with the design of the 200-ton jump-2 Empress Marava Class.
Imperial High (Landed) Nobility[edit]
Kaskii, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial Landed Knight who acts as an Imperial representative to the world, and the fiefdoms of two members of the Imperial Landed Nobility, who oversee affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level.
- It holds the estate of an Imperial knight, the Imperial representative to the world.
- It holds the fiefdom of an Imperial count.
- It holds the fiefdom of an Imperial subsector duke, who also conducts affairs regarding the entire subsector at the Interstellar and Imperial level.
World Starport (Sp)[edit]
Kaskii has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- There is an associated Imperial Naval Base, hosting the headquarters of the 4th Fleet.
World Population (P)[edit]
Kaskii has a population of 50,000,000,000 sophonts (tens of billions).
- High Population Worlds like this tend to have huge consumer markets.
Linguistic Topography[edit]
The most commonly heard languages are:
- Core Anglic, a dialect of one of the two official languages of the Imperium.
- Vilani, one of the two official languages of the Imperium.

- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Meson Communicators and Pseudo Reality Communications.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Miniature super-batteries, improved collectors, and advanced Fusion+.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:

World Government (G)[edit]
Kaskii is governed by an Impersonal Bureaucracy. The leadership of the government takes another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy), but the bureaucracy dictates government policy and its execution. Government leadership is reduced to little more than figureheads and does not select the bureaucracy leadership or its members.
World Law (L)[edit]
Kaskii has a high law level with laws covering many areas of interactions of people, corporations, and the government. A few worlds with this law level may be Amber Zones. Any interaction with the judicial system requires an Advocate trained in the local legal system. Law enforcement is present almost everywhere, either as people or via technology. Legal proceedings can take weeks to months to resolve and involve a dozen or more people. All blade weapons and firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
World Economy[edit]
Non-canon: In search of lucrative civilian and commercial contracts some of the defense sub contractors united to build large cruise ships. Faced with a period of relative peace, and the resulting budget cut backs, stressed military ship builders turned in search of other work. The Independence of the Stars Class Liner is one of their Freedom Class of passenger mega liners. Over engineered, these giant vessels are jump capable luxury resorts. The designers brought their military sensibilities to this vessel which features, theaters, casinos and vast dining halls. Their secret hope was it could lead to a noble's contract for massive troop transport designs in the future.
