System Data[edit]

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data[edit]

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Unlardigard is a Small World between 4,000km and 5,600km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.24G and 0.34G. The horizon will appear about 3km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Unlardigard has a pressure of less than 0.1 atmospheres which requires the use of a Vacc Suit. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Unlardigard has no free-standing water or ice on the surface. Wilderness refueling isn't possible on this world. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are classified Desert World or a Hell World depending on their atmosphere.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Comp-Prog-Dav-R-Deitrick-Starter-Trav-Page-16 16-July-2018a.jpg

As Gushemege sunk into the Long Night, heavily populated (and hungry) Unlardigard found itself in dire straits, as its minimal native life offered little sustenance and its hydroponic gardens were prone to failure. On the brink of starvation, it appealed to its neighbor system, Trill, for assistance. Trill extracted a high price for its aid, using it as leverage to assume the position of overlord. This in turn drove Unlardigardian innovation, with local jury-rigged solutions to problems preferred rather than being forced to beg for Trillian aid. However, as the Night deepened, Trill's higher technology began to fail, and it became increasingly dependent on resourceful Unlardigardian technologists to maintain vital systems and equipment.

In -1309 the two worlds signed the Treaty of Plutand, settling old scores, pledging mutual aid and support, and forming the Plutand Economic Union. Using Trillian materials and produce and Unlardigardian know-how, the Union was able to reach out to a few other populated worlds in the region, including Xanten, Glipli, and Zanish, largely to secure resources. It was able to sustain a well supported TL–10 for most of the Long Night and was eventually absorbed by the expanding Third Imperium during the first century. Unlardigard was considered one of the Union's core systems.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Unlardigard has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World Population (P)[edit]

Unlardigard has a population of 5,000,000,000 sophonts (billions).

World Languages[edit]

The following languages are most commonly heard:

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Unlardigard possesses a Technology Level of TL–14 or TL-E in Hexadecimal Notation.

  • Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Early meson communicators.
  • Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Miniature super-batteries, early collectors, and advanced fusion plants.
  • Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:

World Government (G)[edit]

Unlardigard is governed by a Charismatic Dictatorship. Charismatic governments justify their ability to rule by simply asserting their right to rule. Charismatic dictatorships are young governments, coming as a recent change and rely on the leader(s) to supply head of government.

World Law (L)[edit]

Unlardigard has an extreme law level which covers every area of interaction. Laws are complex, detailed, and difficult to understand. Every interaction with the government requires an Advocate. Law enforcement is omnipresent and strict. Legal proceeding can take months to years to resolve and may involve dozens of people. A few worlds with this law level may be a Red Zone and others will be an Amber Zone. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (with no exception for private residences; visiting starships are only protected so long as they stay within designated starports and approach corridors). Civilian movement is rigidly controlled. Travel documents are frequently checked, and destinations must often be declared when traveling substantial distances across the world.

Imperial High (Landed) Nobility (N)[edit]

Unlardigard, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estates of three members of the Imperial Nobility, who are charged with overseeing the world.
