Subsector O of Gzirr!k'l Sector.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

The heart of the Krotan Primacy.

There are no officially Hive-controlled systems in the subsector, but there are several client worlds that might be incorporated in the near future, and the 50,000,000 people on Apvekab are subject to a Federation Uplift program.

A main connecting Krota to the Hive Federation allows for easy shipment of trade goods. Trade between Hiver client races and Krotan passes through Obvatsevos in particular, making its people rich.

Subsector Summary: 1116[edit]

Uckemic, subsector O of Gzirr!k'l, contains 34 worlds with an estimated combined population of 103 billion, a per capita income of Cr5,879, and a total economy of BCr605,591. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr437 through 27 starports (7 Class A, 11 Class B, 9 Class C, 0 Class D) employing 100,260 people. Driving this interstellar trade are four Agricultural (Ag) worlds, six Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, no Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, three Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, three Rich (Ri) worlds, and three Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Uckemic maintain 13 Naval bases. The average technology level is 9 (with most between 4 and 13). The highest technology level is 14 at Qraklojia (Gzirr!k'l 1835) and Tsodaggos (Gzirr!k'l 2238).

Uckemic, subsector O of Gzirr!k'l, contains 48 stars and 365 identified planets; 20 monostellar systems, 14 binary systems, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 26 of the 34 systems (76%) have native gas giants. There are three Asteroid (As) belts, one Desert (De) world, one Garden (Ga) world, two Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, five Poor (Po) worlds, seven Vacuum (Va) worlds, and five Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.

Uckemic has an estimated population of 103 billion distributed across five High population (Hi) worlds, two Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 12 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, six Low population (Lo) worlds, and four Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Hezlymus (Gzirr!k'l 2431). The population consists primarily of 3 sophont groups including one native sophont.

Krotan Primacy[edit]

The Krotan Primacy has jurisdiction over 22 worlds in this subsector with an estimated combined population of 23 billion, a per capita income of Cr3,355, and a total economy of BCr79,858. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr402 through 19 starports (5 Class A, 9 Class B, 5 Class C, 0 Class D) employing 94,405 people. Driving this interstellar trade are two Agricultural (Ag) worlds, four Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, no Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, two Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, two Rich (Ri) worlds, and two Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in the Krotan Primacy maintain 13 Naval bases in this subsector. The average technology level is 10 (with most between 6 and 13). The highest technology level is 14 at Qraklojia (Gzirr!k'l 1835).

The Krotan Primacy has an estimated population within this subsector of 23 billion, distributed across four High population (Hi) worlds, two Moderate population (Ph) worlds, eight Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, four Low population (Lo) worlds, and one Barren (Ba) world. The highest population worlds are Nefrark (Gzirr!k'l 1831), Vrydvir (Gzirr!k'l 2137), Zignortia (Gzirr!k'l 1739), and Krota (Gzirr!k'l 1833). The population consists primarily of 2 sophont groups including one native sophont. Note that Krotan world statistics represent all adult and mobile Krotan. The "shoals" on a given world will hold around 100 sessile pre-adult, senescent or post-adult Krotan for every active adult.

Client state, Hive Federation[edit]

The Client states of the Hive Federation in Uckemic encompass five worlds with an estimated combined population of 90 million.

Non-Aligned, unclaimed[edit]

There are five Non-Aligned unclaimed worlds in Uckemic with an estimated combined population of 80 billion.

Hive FDA extra-Federation operation[edit]

The Hive FDA extra-Federation operation has jurisdiction over one world in the subsector with an estimated population of 50 million, a per capita income of Cr2,920, and a total economy of BCr146. This world originates an interstellar trade of BCr2 through 1 starports (0 Class A, 1 Class B, 0 Class C, 0 Class D) employing 295 people. Driving this interstellar trade are no Agricultural (Ag) worlds, one Non-Agricultural (Na) world, no Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, one Pre-Industrial (Pi) world, no Rich (Ri) worlds, and no Industrial (In) worlds.

The Hive FDA extra-Federation operation has an estimated population of 50 million within the subsector, distributed across no High population (Hi) worlds, no Moderate population (Ph) worlds, no Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, no Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Apvekab (Gzirr!k'l 2334). The population consists primarily of 1 sophont group.

Hive Federation[edit]

The Hive Federation has jurisdiction over one world in the subsector with an estimated population of less than 1 million, a per capita income of Cr0, and a total economy of BCr0. Driving this economy are no Agricultural (Ag) worlds, no Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, no Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, no Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, no Rich (Ri) worlds, and no Industrial (In) worlds.

This one world has no permanent inhabitants.

Major Historical Events Timeline: 1116[edit]

These are some of the more important historical events that have affected this area:

  • -4678: Hivers invent the jump drive, thus becoming a Major Race.
  • -4100: Hiver explorers discover Loza'tch and the Za'tachk civilization.
  • -4050: An exploratory Hiver vessel arrives in the Ofilaq system and discovers the Gurvin.
  • -3986: The Hivers are shocked to encounter the Ithklur, a race far more violent than any encountered previously.
  • Circa -3800: Hiver scouts discover Krota. To manipulate the Krotan shoals into a more teachable species, the Hivers bombard Krota with planetoids, setting off severe tectonic and climatic shifts that force widespread change and adaptation upon the Krotan people.
  • -3548: Eager to present a united front to acquire jump-2 drive from the Hivers, the Gurvin form the Gurvin Interstellar Democratic Republic and make an official request to join the nascent Hive Federation and be provided with jump-2. The Hivers declare the Gurvin an "adult" species and agree.
  • Circa -2900: After a millennium of Manipulation, the Ithklur take their place as an important member of the Hiver interstellar community.
  • Circa -2200: The Krotan reach TL-7, launching interplanetary flights. The Hivers make their first direct contact with Krota.
  • -2029 to -2013: The Hiver-K'kree War threatens the Hiver community.
    • -2023 to -2018: As a consequence of organizing defence during the war, the modern Hive Federation is codified.
    • Technological aid to nations like the Krotan Primacy and the Sha Elden Lith Kindriu results in a "hardening" of the K'kree-Hiver border.
    • The K'kree surrender and withdrawal is claimed to be the result of Hiver psychohistorical manipulation. Ithklur history, in the form of the Dikrah Kiradgi, records a different version of events.
  • The Year 0: Far to spinward, the Third Imperium is founded.
  • 410: To aid in administration of the Young Worlds, the Hive Federation capital is moved to Glea.
  • 995 to 1065: The Imperial Second Survey.
