Subsector N of Gzirr!k'l Sector.
Description (Specifications)[edit]
The subsector is split between Krotan space, Lithkind territory, and a buffer zone between them, with several neutral systems and Hiver client states.
The high-population, high-technology worlds of Dadick and Tesaure are bastions of Hiver influence between Krotan and Lithkind space, both client states heavily influenced by Federation culture.
The major Lithkind world of Filazah, a TL-15 planet having built warm trading ties to several Krotan planets, also controls the only world in the subsector to have an Amber travel code; Zathrim is little different to most Lithkind worlds politically, but its dangerous environment has encouraged careful and distinct safety procedures.
Subsector Summary: 1116[edit]
Uan, subsector N of Gzirr!k'l, contains 30 worlds with an estimated combined population of 237 billion, a per capita income of Cr4,157, and a total economy of BCr985,259. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr858 through 25 starports (8 Class A, 8 Class B, 6 Class C, 3 Class D) employing 149,525 people. Driving this interstellar trade are six Agricultural (Ag) worlds, one Non-Agricultural (Na) world, one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, one Pre-Industrial (Pi) world, two Rich (Ri) worlds, and one Industrial (In) world. The governments in Uan maintain 11 Naval bases. The average technology level is 9 (with most between 6 and 12). The highest technology level is 15 at Blecaj (Gzirr!k'l 1636).
Uan, subsector N of Gzirr!k'l, contains 38 stars and 320 identified planets; 22 monostellar systems, eight binary systems, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 22 of the 30 systems (73%) have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, three Desert (De) worlds, two Garden (Ga) worlds, one Ice-capped (Ic) world, seven Poor (Po) worlds, one Vacuum (Va) world, and two Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.
Uan has an estimated population of 237 billion distributed across five High population (Hi) worlds, no Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 18 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, four Low population (Lo) worlds, and two Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population worlds are Filazah (Gzirr!k'l 1231), Tesaure (Gzirr!k'l 1233), Mibwost (Gzirr!k'l 1435), and Gozrirtus (Gzirr!k'l 1538). The population consists primarily of 3 sophont groups.

Krotan Primacy[edit]
The Krotan Primacy has jurisdiction over 19 worlds in the subsector with an estimated combined population of 90 billion, a per capita income of Cr5,589, and a total economy of BCr503,570. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr475 through 16 starports (4 Class A, 6 Class B, 4 Class C, 2 Class D) employing 99,775 people. Driving this interstellar trade are five Agricultural (Ag) worlds, one Non-Agricultural (Na) world, one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, one Pre-Industrial (Pi) world, one Rich (Ri) world, and one Industrial (In) world. The governments in the Krotan Primacy maintain nine Naval bases within the subsector. The average technology level is 9 (with most between 7 and 12). The highest technology level is 15 at Blecaj (Gzirr!k'l 1636).
The Krotan Primacy has an estimated population of 90 billion within the subsector, distributed across two High population (Hi) worlds, no Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 15 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, one Low population (Lo) world, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population worlds are Mibwost (Gzirr!k'l 1435) and Gozrirtus (Gzirr!k'l 1538). Note that Krotan world statistics represent all adult and mobile Krotan. The "shoals" on a given world will hold around 100 sessile pre-adult, senescent or post-adult Krotan for every active adult.
- The Krotan Primacy subsector capital of Uan is Drazleng (Gzirr!k'l 1236).
Sha Elden Lith Kindriu[edit]
The Sha Elden Lith Kindriu has jurisdiction over five worlds in the subsector with an estimated combined population of 70 billion, a per capita income of Cr3,659, and a total economy of BCr256,233. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr310 through 5 starports (3 Class A, 0 Class B, 1 Class C, 1 Class D) employing 39,930 people. Driving this interstellar trade are one Agricultural (Ag) world, no Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, no Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, no Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, one Rich (Ri) world, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in the Sha Elden Lith Kindriu maintain two Naval bases within the subsector. The average technology level is 10 (with most between 7 and 12). The highest technology level is 13 at Zathrim (Gzirr!k'l 0933) and Pashec-Daz (Gzirr!k'l 1031).
The Sha Elden Lith Kindriu has an estimated population of 70 billion within the subsector, distributed across one High population (Hi) world, no Moderate population (Ph) worlds, two Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, two Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Filazah (Gzirr!k'l 1231).
Non-Aligned, unclaimed[edit]
There are two Non-Aligned unclaimed worlds in Uan with an estimated combined population of less than 1 million.
Client state, Hive Federation[edit]
The Client states of the Hive Federation in Uan encompass two worlds with an estimated combined population of 77 billion.
Non-aligned[edit]
There are two Non-aligned worlds in Uan with an estimated combined population of less than 1 million.

Major Historical Events Timeline: 1116[edit]
These are some of the more important historical events that have affected this area:
- -4678: Hivers invent the jump drive, thus becoming a Major Race.
- -4100: Hiver explorers discover Loza'tch and the Za'tachk civilization.
- -4050: An exploratory Hiver vessel arrives in the Ofilaq system and discovers the Gurvin.
- -3986: The Hivers are shocked to encounter the Ithklur, a race far more violent than any encountered previously.
- Circa -3800: Hiver scouts discover Krota. To manipulate the Krotan shoals into a more teachable species, the Hivers bombard Krota with planetoids, setting off severe tectonic and climatic shifts that force widespread change and adaptation upon the Krotan people.
- -3548: Eager to present a united front to acquire jump-2 drive from the Hivers, the Gurvin form the Gurvin Interstellar Democratic Republic and make an official request to join the nascent Hive Federation and be provided with jump-2. The Hivers declare the Gurvin an "adult" species and agree.
- Circa -2900: After a millennium of Manipulation, the Ithklur take their place as an important member of the Hiver interstellar community.
- Circa -2200: The Krotan reach TL-7, launching interplanetary flights. The Hivers make their first direct contact with Krota.
- -2029 to -2013: The Hiver-K'kree War threatens the Hiver community.
- -2023 to -2018: As a consequence of organizing defence during the war, the modern Hive Federation is codified.
- Technological aid to nations like the Krotan Primacy and the Sha Elden Lith Kindriu results in a "hardening" of the K'kree-Hiver border.
- The K'kree surrender and withdrawal is claimed to be the result of Hiver psychohistorical manipulation. Ithklur history, in the form of the Dikrah Kiradgi, records a different version of events.
- The Year 0: Far to spinward, the Third Imperium is founded.
- 410: To aid in administration of the Young Worlds, the Hive Federation capital is moved to Glea.
- 995 to 1065: The Imperial Second Survey.
