Politsie is a low-population world with a population of less than 10,000 sophonts in size.
- This world has yet to take off economically or otherwise and the population remains low for reasons largely unknown.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Mongrebi Subsector of Zarushagar Sector in the Domain of Ilelish.
- This is a "high technology" world with technology achievements at, near, or above the standard for Charted Space.
- It is a part of The Link region of the Rimward Link.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Politsie is a binary star system.
- Both are red main sequence stars.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x8 secondary rocky worlds.
- x4 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Politsie is a Small World between 4,000km and 5,600km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.24G and 0.34G. The horizon will appear about 3km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Politsie has a pressure of less than 0.1 atmospheres which requires the use of a Vacc Suit. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Politsie has no free-standing water or ice on the surface. Wilderness refueling isn't possible on this world. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are classified Desert World or a Hell World depending on their atmosphere.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, trace atmosphere world.)
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Politsie is a member of The Link region of the Rimward Link, an important trade route running through parts of Daibei Sector, Massilia Sector, and Zarushagar Sector.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Politsie has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Politsie has population of 900 sophonts (hundreds).
- This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without moderate outside assistance. This may represent a large transient population such as the crew of a fleet of starships, the dwindling remnants of a dying colony, a construction team building a new colony, or an outpost that could evolve into a colony.
Linguistic Topography[edit]
The most commonly heard languages are:
- Anglic, one of the two official languages of the Imperium.
- Vilani, one of the two official languages of the Imperium.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Politsie possesses a Technology Level of TL–12 or TL-C in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-3.
World Government (G)[edit]
Politsie is governed by a Corporate Polity, having a single corporation with a typical corporate structure as a government. Essentially, this is a "company town" (or world). The typical corporate-run world usually has a single purpose. Examples include mining, agriculture, or other kinds of resource extraction. But rather than a simple base of operations, there are facilities for housing workers and their families, including hospitals, schools, and other infrastructure. How, or if, the children of the workers are incorporated into the workforce varies with companies. The corporation running the world may be a subsidiary of a larger interstellar corporation.
World Law (L)[edit]
Politsie has no law in practice. It is an Anarchy. On many worlds, this by itself justifies an Amber Zone advisory. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate.
Imperial Landed Nobility[edit]
Politsie, as a member world of the Third Imperium has a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world.
