Majadita is a pre-agricultural and nonindustrial world lacking adequate development for its economy to become prosperous.
- As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
- It is a member of the Grand United States of Quesada, which is a member state of the Solomani Confederation, in the Firdausi Subsector of Aldebaran Sector.
- This world is a "Twilight Zone World", a planet that is tidally-locked to its star. It has a hot side that permanently faces the star, a cold side that permanently faces away, and a narrow twilight zone in-between.
- It is a member of the Orizaba Cluster.
Description / Astrography & Planetology[edit]

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Majadita is a member of the Orizaba Cluster, a small cluster and minor trade route lying within the coreward-trailing quadrant of Aldebaran Sector.
The Quesadan Inquisition is known to be active on the world. It is a religiously sponsored investigative agency that is charged with rooting out heretical thinking. It has the authority to detain and question individuals.
Solomani Security keeps a close eye on things to ensure the security of the Confederation and the well-being of its loyal citizens. Almost anyone could be a SolSec informant, passing on all sorts of useful information: some gain a reward or benefit for their actions, others are coerced, but many see it as an act of duty to help protect the Solomani state and its interests.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Majadita has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World Population (P)[edit]
Majadita has a population of 50,000 sophonts (tens of thousands).
- This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.
- The population almost entirely consists of Solomani humans.
Linguistic Topography[edit]
The most commonly heard languages are:
- Latin, an ancient Terran language used by the Church of Quesada.
- Quesadan Spanish, an Iberian Dialect of the Spanish subfamily of languages of Terran origin spoken principally in the Grand United States of Quesada.
- Rim Anglic, a dialect of Anglic and the principal language of the Confederation.
- It is a second language within the Grand United States.

- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Telephone, radio, and television.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Electricity, hydrocarbon internal combustion, and the most fundamental atomic energy.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Ground cars or automobiles and tracked vehicles.
- Water: Large ships and submersibles with steel hulls.
- Air: Early aircraft including seaplanes and very early unmanned rockets.
World Government[edit]
Majadita is governed by a Representative Democracy where government leadership is by representatives elected by eligible voters. What determines an eligible voter varies. The representatives determine policy, including selecting members of the bureaucracy. There can be referenda, votes by eligible voters on specific subjects.
World Law Level[edit]
Majadita has a low law level. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate. Body pistols, explosives, and poison gas are typically regulated or prohibited.

World Culture[edit]
"Despite the hopes of our scout party, we again were met by a standard "greeting party" of heavily-armed citizens. We provided a brief written note on the ground, said nothing, and pulled back closer to the downport exit portal. Our note explained that we were Confederation Scouts making a routine cultural survey, and offered their leadership a chance to provide a formal statement for the record. This time, they asked us to wait for a bit. After an hour, a couple of the men in engineering attire returned with a thin sheaf of papers, a small holy book, and a ruby pendent. The papers stated their purpose as a spiritual enclave in opposition to the decadent ways of the Holyman, that they were providing us a copy of their "purified" holy text (attached), and asking that the pendent be delivered to the true Holyman currently on Home (physical address attached). The group leaders then drew themselves up, thanking us for our silence and consideration, and wishing us a safe journey Home."
Urbanization[edit]
Orbital observation confirms 10 urban centers distributed along the warm side of the ring ocean. The atmosphere is breathable in this zone. Each center is surrounded by agricultural areas, which appear to grow bioengineered crops, possibly of Ivraien origin.
