Treece is a poor, non-agricultural, moderate population world with over a hundred million, but not yet a billion sophonts in population size.
- It is unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
- Life is trying on a world like this and inhabitants are constantly working towards developing a viable source of food production.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Lanth Subsector of Spinward Marches Sector in the Domain of Deneb.
- This world is controlled by a nation-state on Inthe.
- It is home to a community of Llellewyloly.
- Treece is a member of the Spinward Main.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Treece has a solitary primary star.
- It is a red main sequence.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x7 secondary rocky worlds.
- x1 planetoid belt.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Treece orbits within its star's habitable zone.
- It receives moderate levels of stellar energy.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Treece is a Meso World between 5,600km and 7,200km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.32G and 0.46G. The horizon will appear about 3.6km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Treece has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Treece has 15-25% of its surface covered by liquid water or ice. There may be a few small seas. Wilderness refueling is possible. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are Hell Worlds or Poor Worlds depending on their atmosphere.
- Much of the surface is an arid, inhospitable environment.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly dry world.)
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Oberlindes Lines and Tukera Lines, attracted by the X-boat terminus at nearby Dhian, are competing for shipping and passenger services to this world.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Treece has a Class D Starport, a poor quality installation which has few of the expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
World Population (P)[edit]
Treece has a population of 600,000,000 sophonts (hundreds of millions).
- A significant population of Llellewyloly dwell on this world.
Urbanization[edit]
In addition to the City of Treece, other major settlements on the world include Witmansburg, Dishak, and Kihulam.
Linguistic Topography[edit]
The most commonly heard languages are:
- Anglic, one of the two official languages of the Imperium.
- Hulloyuo-co, a synthetic language trilled and whistled by the Llellewyloly.
- Vilani, one of the two official languages of the Imperium.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Treece possesses a Technology Level of TL–8.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics, improved telephones, and satellite communication and data networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Improved geothermal and improved batteries.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Advanced automobiles.
- Water: Triphibians and early artificial gills.
- Air: Improved helicopters and hypersonic jets.
- Space: Space shuttles, early space stations, and improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
World Government (G)[edit]
Treece has a Captive Government or Colony. The world is ruled by an external government, there is no self-rule. This is a colony or conquered area. The local government is an oligarchy appointed by, and answerable only to, the external government.
This world is directly controlled by the largest of the many nation-states of Inthe.
World Law (L)[edit]
Treece has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms except shotguns, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
Imperial Landed Nobility[edit]
Treece, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial Landed Knight who acts as an Imperial representative to the world, and the fiefdom of a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility, who oversees affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level.

Later Historical Eras[edit]
The poverty-stricken world of Treece was most notable for its export of gallowglass troops for use by interested factions in the Imperial government, or by anyone that could afford their services. When the market for mercs imploded in the Post-Collapse period, the world subsisted upon remittances sent home by the large Treecian contingent in the military and Quarantine Service. The world gained its independence in 1162, perceiving that Inthe was stealing a good portion of this money for its own use.
