• It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
• It is a member of the Solomani Confederation in the Suhayl Subsector of Canopus Sector.

• This world is a "Twilight Zone World", a planet that is tidally-locked to its star. It has a hot side that permanently faces the star, a cold side that permanently faces away, and a narrow twilight zone in-between.
• It is a member of the Hyrcanus Cluster.

• The star is always high in the sky on the bright face, it hangs on horizon in the twilight zone, while the cold dark face is in permanent darkness.
• The world experiences libration - a regular wobble - as it orbits, causing the star to move in the sky.

Tsukuda is a Meso World between 7,200km and 8,800km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.4G and 0.57G. The horizon will appear about 4km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)

Tsukuda has an Exotic Atmosphere and possesses an unusual gas mix which requires the use of oxygen tanks. Additionally, protective suits, while not necessary, are recommended. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

• It experiences generally moderate temperatures within the twilight zone.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)

Tsukuda has 55-65% of its surface covered by liquid water or ice heavily tainted with other substances, which makes it dangerous, corrosive, or toxic. Wilderness refueling will be difficult. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds may be Hell Worlds.

• The water on the surface may be unsuitable for use or consumption without extensive filtering and purification.
• Refining for fuel may cause issues with shipboard purification plants.

Tsukuda is a member of the Hyrcanus Cluster, a small cluster and minor trade route principally lying within the rimward-trailing quadrant of Canopus Sector.

Solomani Security keeps a close eye on things to ensure the security of the Confederation and the well-being of its loyal citizens. Almost anyone could be a SolSec informant, passing on all sorts of useful information: some gain a reward or benefit for their actions, others are coerced, but many see it as an act of duty to help protect the Solomani state and its interests.

World Starport (St)

Tsukuda has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.

Tsukuda has a population of 100,000 sophonts (hundreds of thousands).

• This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.
• The population almost entirely consists of Solomani humans.
