Subsector A of the Empty Quarter Sector. This subsector is noted for the world of Ikon, one of the most historically influential worlds in Ovaghoun Vargr space. "Ikonaz" culture, an odd but enduring blend of Ovaghoun Vargr and Vilani traditions, dominates the subsector and surrounding areas. The modern Ikonaz Sphere is controlled by the Rukadukaz Republic, a core member of the Julian Protectorate.

These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr334 through 20 starports (5 Class A, 5 Class B, 8 Class C, 2 Class D) employing 46,670 people. Driving this interstellar trade are three Agricultural (Ag) worlds, no Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, two Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, two Rich (Ri) worlds, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Tsahrroek maintain two Military bases and one Naval base. The average technology level is 8 (with most between 6 and 10). The highest technology level is 14 at Khebha (Empty Quarter 0709).

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
As part of the tail end of the great Vargr Pillaging (of -2400 to -1700 Imperial), the packs of the fabled Loi Kungkeisoleoeksknusin seized Ikon in -1711 Imperial, late in the Long Night. This first 'proto-Ovaghoun' government in the region came to depend upon conquered Vilani-descended humans of Ikon, and in time a blended culture arose.
Unlike in most Vargr-dominated regions, the Vilani element on Ikon created a clear (if convoluted) bureaucratic paper trail that careful historians can use to trace the development of this subsector's history.
When the Second Interstellar Brinkoegzi Hierarchy was the government of the Ikonaz Sphere, its first act was to imprison the former leadership, their supporters, and their families -- eventually, over a million sophonts, the majority Vilani, were exiled to Tsahrroek. Large amounts of Vilani wealth was seized and redistributed to assorted insurgency factions and their supporters. Later, the entire subsector, previously named for Ikon, was rechristened Tsahrroek Subsector, after the martyred world.
