Trane is a nonindustrial world, that requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society.
- In a technological universe, societies without industrial capability generally suffer as nearly all manufactured and high tech goods must be brought in at significant cost.

- This is a temperate world, with a climate of pleasant, average temperatures, considered to be an ideal or near-ideal environment by many different sophont species.
- This world contains an archaeological site with suspected high-tech remnants of the now-vanished Ancients precursor race.
- Trane is a member of the Spinward Main.
- It is a member of the County of Bellion.

Trane orbits within its star's habitable zone.
- It receives moderate levels of stellar energy.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

Imperial Landed Nobility[edit]
Trane, as a member world of the Third Imperium has a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world.
Marquess Jyoti Sharmirrisharma of Trane is of old Vilani nobility, her bloodline running unbroken through thousands of years, dating to the First Imperium. She has inherited tremendous wealth but has come to the realisation that her levers of power are mostly ceremonial. Jyoti has little sway over the participatory democracy of her own fief and none at all over worlds in its immediate vicinity. Frustrated by the Imperium's hands-off approach, she founded the bounty hunting organization, the Order of the Dove and Thorn. Members swear to uphold truth, champion justice, defend the weak and safeguard sentient life. Bounty hunters with the Order of the Dove and Thorn are hand-picked by the Marquess herself or head-hunted by a trusted agent from her Hurscarles regiment.
