Subsector P of Corridor Sector. The Sashrakusha Subsector is very much an Imperial heartland region, despite proximity to the Great Rift. It is one of the most secure parts of the Imperium, shielded from external threats by many parsecs of Imperial-controlled space in most directions and by the Rift. Much of the subsector is within the Lancian Cultural Region.

Subsector Summary: 1116[edit]
Sashrakusha, subsector P of Corridor, contains 45 worlds with an estimated combined population of 10 billion, a per capita income of Cr4,902, and a total economy of BCr50,424. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr1,472 through 38 starports (10 Class A, 9 Class B, 14 Class C, 5 Class D) employing 254,080 people. Driving this interstellar trade are six Agricultural (Ag) worlds, three Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, three Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, seven Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, four Rich (Ri) worlds, and one Industrial (In) world. The governments in Sashrakusha maintain 12 Naval bases, ten Scout bases, and one Way station. The average technology level is 9 (with most between 6 and 12). The highest technology level is 15 at Sumeszu (Corridor 2632).
Sashrakusha, subsector P of Corridor, contains 64 stars and 470 identified planets; 27 monostellar systems, 17 binary systems, one trinary system, and no systems with four or more stars. 35 of the 45 systems (77%) have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, five Desert (De) worlds, two Garden (Ga) worlds, three Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, eight Poor (Po) worlds, six Vacuum (Va) worlds, and three Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.
Sashrakusha has an estimated population of 10 billion distributed across one High population (Hi) world, five Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 16 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, 15 Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Kanorb (Corridor 2733). The population consists primarily of 4 sophont groups including two native sophonts.

Third Imperium[edit]
The Third Imperium, including the Lancian Cultural Region, has jurisdiction over all of the worlds with an estimated combined population of 10 billion, a per capita income of Cr4,902, and a total economy of BCr50,424. The governments in the Third Imperium maintain 12 Naval bases, ten Scout bases, and one Way station within the subsector. The average technology level is 9 (with most between 6 and 12). The highest technology level is 15 at Sumeszu (Corridor 2632).
The Third Imperium has an estimated population of 10 billion within the subsector, distributed across one High population (Hi) world, five Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 16 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, 15 Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Kanorb (Corridor 2733). The population consists primarily of 4 sophont groups including two native sophonts.
- The Third Imperium subsector capital of Sashrakusha is Sashrakusha (Corridor 2933). Many Imperial worlds in the subsector are part of the Lancian Cultural Region.
Astrographic Features[edit]
The Vilani Main[edit]
The Vilani Main, the mighty trade artery of the Ziru Sirka, extends into the subsector from trailing.
- The named region known as the Shurgi Main largely falls within Sashrakusha.
- High cargo capacity, low jump rating vessels move along the Main, carrying vast amounts of goods and commodities between its member worlds.

Linguistic Topography: 1105[edit]
The following languages are among the most commonly used within this astrographic region:
- Anglic: One of the two official languages of the Third Imperium.
- Kehuu: The primary language of the Lancian Cultural Region.
- Vilani: One of the two official languages of the Third Imperium.
- Wawa-pakekeke-wawa: The common, precise and bureaucratic language of the Bwaps. Spoken on Bwap-dominated planets and by government functionaries on any world lucky enough to retain a dedicated Bwap workforce.
Subsector Timeline[edit]
Major events that have affected this region:
- circa -250,000: The Ancients transplant humans onto the world of Kukhun, to rimward.
- -9235: The Vilani discover jump drive technology, and over the centuries pioneers and settlers gradually spread across Charted Space. The Kukhunen culture acquires jump technology from these wanderers.
- circa -5400: The Vilani Consolidation Wars - the Kukhunen region is eventually conquered.
- -4045 to -2204: The Ziru Sirka claims and settles worlds across the region.
- -2404 to -2215: The Interstellar Wars.
- -2204 to -1776: The Rule of Man administers the worlds of the region.
- -1776 to 0: The Long Night. There is widespread regression within the area and some worlds become barren.
- circa -1700: The reemergent Kukhunen region gradually collapses into civil war.
- -1200: The Lancian movement rises to dominance on Kukhun and within Kukhunen space. Few ships are available throughout the period but limited contact is maintained.
- -143: The Lancians gain modern jump technology from Sylean traders and use it to establish the Lancian Confederation.
- The Year 0: The Third Imperium is founded. There are frictions with the Lancians.
- 76-84: The Vilani Pacification Campaign results in the absorption of the Confederation.
- 300-420: The Imperial First Survey charts the system.
- 604-622: The Civil War.
- 624: The Express Boat Network is established.
- 639: The Lancian Cultural Region is established.
- 995-1065: The Imperial Second Survey charts the system.
- 1065: The Second Survey is published. Information about the system becomes widely available.
