Above is a preindustrial, moderate population world with over a hundred million, but not yet at a billion sophonts in population size.
- As a preindustrial world, this planet cannot yet manufacture enough high-technology resources to support a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- It is a member of the Lancian Cultural Region, a sub-polity of the Third Imperium, located in the Sashrakusha Subsector of Corridor Sector.
- This is a "high technology" world with technology achievements at, near, or over technology standards for Charted Space.
- 100% of the population is made up of Lancians.
- This world has a colony at Emm.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Above has a solitary primary star.
- It is a red main sequence.

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x6 secondary rocky worlds.
- x3 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Above is a Meso World between 10,400km and 12,000km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.7G and 0.9G. The horizon will appear about 4.7km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Above has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Respirator Combination Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Above has 55-65% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly watery world.)
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
World Starport (St)[edit]
Above has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- The world is host to a Naval Base.
World Population (P)[edit]
Above has a population of 400,000,000 sophonts (hundreds of millions).
- Almost the entire population consists of Lancians.
World Languages[edit]
The following languages are most commonly heard:
- Anglic, one of the two official languages of the Imperium.
- Kehuu, the primary Lancian language, as common on the worlds of the Cultural Region as Anglic or Vilani.
- Ushi, a language used throughout Gushemege Sector.
- Vilani, one of the two official languages of the Imperium.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Above possesses a Technology Level of TL–13 or TL-D in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovideo recorders.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Miniature super-batteries, prototype collectors, advanced fusion plants.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-4.
World Government (G)[edit]
Above is governed by a Civil Service Bureaucracy. The leadership of the government is another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy), but the bureaucracy leadership influences policy. The government leadership may select the bureaucracy leadership, but not its membership. Usually the governmental leadership is divided, or incapable of setting policy and the bureaucracy provides a stabilizing influence. The bureaucracy may be the full government bureaucracy or a section with limited jurisdiction but considerable influence like the military.
World Law (L)[edit]
Above has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms except shotguns, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
Lancian courts, called Ammeinha, are made up of 13 person "benches", a combined judiciary and jury, similar to Solomani Courts Martial. Each district's Ammeinha reflects the district demographics. The emphasis is very much on trial by one's peers.
Imperial High (Landed) Nobility (N)[edit]
Above, as a member world of the Third Imperium has a member of the Imperial Nobility overseeing the world.
Trade Data[edit]
- Importance: 2 (ordinary)
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: D (very abundant)
- Labor: 7 (tens of millions)
- Infrastructure: D (comprehensive)
- Efficiency: +1 (average)
World Culture[edit]
- Heterogenity: 7 (discordant)
- Acceptance: A (very friendly)
- Strangeness: 4 (somewhat distinct)
- Symbols: C (very abstract)
World Timeline[edit]
Major events that have affected this world and the wider region that it lies within:
- circa -250,000: the Ancients transplant humans onto the world of Kukhun.
- -9235: the Vilani discover jump drive technology, and over the centuries pioneers and settlers gradually spread across Charted Space. The Kukhunen culture acquires jump technology from these wanderers.
- circa -5400: the Vilani Consolidation Wars - the Kukhunen region is eventually conquered.
- -4045 to -2204: the Ziru Sirka claims and settles worlds across the region.
- -2404 to -2215: the Interstellar Wars.
- -2204 to -1776: the Rule of Man administers the worlds of the region.
- -1776 to 0: the Long Night. There is widespread regression within the area and some worlds become barren.
- circa -1700: the reemergent Kukhunen region gradually collapses into civil war.
- -1200: the Lancian movement rises to dominance on Kukhun and within Kukhunen space. Few ships are available throughout the period but limited contact is maintained.
- -143: the Lancians gain modern jump technology from Sylean traders and use it to establish the Lancian Confederation.
- The Year 0: the Third Imperium is founded. There are frictions with the Lancians.
- 76-84: the Vilani Pacification Campaign results in the absorbtion of the Confederation.
- 300-420: the Imperial First Survey charts the system.
- 604-622: the Civil War.
- 624: the Express Boat Network is established.
- 639: the Lancian Cultural Region is established.
- 995-1065: the Imperial Second Survey charts the system.
- 1065: the Second Survey is published. Information about the system becomes widely available.
