• It is a member of the Solomani Confederation in the Last Chance Subsector of Magyar Sector.

• This is a cold world with an overall climate that is at the lower temperature range of human-congruous sophont endurance.
• It is a member of the Xianjin-Brimate Cluster.

Sammadar has a pressure of 0.43 to 0.70 atmospheres. The Thin Atmosphere does not require survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.

• It experiences low temperatures.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)

Sammadar has 65-75% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.

• The world's oceans are littered with icebergs and pack ice.

History & Background (Dossier)

Sammadar is a member of the Xianjin-Brimate Cluster, a cluster and important regional trade route lying across parts of Canopus Sector, Dark Nebula Sector, and Magyar Sector. The border between the Solomani Confederation and the Aslan Hierate divides it into distinctive spinward and trailing regions. Large numbers of humans and Aslan, most typically merchants, traders, or casual visitors such as tourists, can be found on both sides of the border.

• Within Dark Nebula, the Cluster is known as the Staai Main.

Hyades Cluster

The huge stars of the Hyades Cluster, a few parsecs to trailing, are clearly visible to the naked eye from the surface of the world.

• The tidal influence of the stars at the Cluster's core can be detected in the orbits of the system's planets and moons.
• Despite their immense distance from the world, the Cluster's stars cause interference, strange tones and noises, and constant static on commo and sensors.

Other Data

Solomani Security keeps a close eye on things to ensure the security of the Confederation and the well-being of its loyal citizens. Almost anyone could be a SolSec informant, passing on all sorts of useful information: some gain a reward or benefit for their actions, others are coerced, but many see it as an act of duty to help protect the Solomani state and its interests.

World Starport (St)

Sammadar has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

World Population (P)

Sammadar has population of 600 sophonts (hundreds).

• This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without moderate outside assistance. This may represent a large transient population such as the crew of a fleet of starships, the dwindling remnants of a dying colony, a construction team building a new colony, or an outpost that could evolve into a colony.
• The population almost entirely consists of Solomani humans.

Linguistic Topography

The most commonly heard languages are:

• Rim Anglic, a dialect of Anglic and the principal language of the Solomani Confederation.
• Trokh, the principal language of the Aslan Hierate.
  • Minor Aslan Languages: note that some Aslan Clans retain obscure or archaic languages for personal use in addition to Trokh.

Sammadar possesses a Technology Level of TL–9.

World Government (G)

Sammadar is governed by a Participatory Democracy where eligible voters determine laws and policy. What determines an eligible voter varies. There may be smaller councils or regional bodies to draft the policies voted upon. Leadership of the government and all members of the bureaucracy are determined by the voting population.

World Law (L)

Sammadar has no law in practice. It is an Anarchy. On many worlds, this by itself justifies an Amber Zone advisory. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate.
