System Data[edit]

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data[edit]

Cangarda orbits towards the inner edge of its stars habitable zone.

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Cangarda is a Meso World between 8,800km and 10,400km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.6G and 0.8G. The horizon will appear about 4.4km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Cangarda has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

  • It experiences relatively high temperatures.
  • Evaporated water makes up a large percentage of the atmosphere, and cloud cover and surface fogs are almost always present.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Cangarda has 65-75% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.

There are three large continents, many smaller subcontinental landmasses, and multiple archipelagoes and islands.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Comp-Prog-Dav-R-Deitrick-Starter-Trav-Page-16 16-July-2018a.jpg

Cangarda is a member of the Coeur Cluster, a small cluster and minor trade route lying within the rimward-trailing quadrant of Aldebaran Sector.

The system is primarily used as a refueling waypoint.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Cangarda has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.

Cangarda downport is located on the largest continent at the equator, 3 km from the local seacoast. It is a work in progress but is functional at a basic level.

World Population (P)[edit]

Cangarda has a population of 20 sophonts (tens).

  • This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without significant outside assistance. This may represent a transient population such as the crew of a starship, the final survivors of a dying colony, an advance team setting up to receive colonists, or a small outpost where establishing a colony is not the primary objective.
  • The population almost entirely consists of Solomani humans.

The current population is made up of construction personnel for the starport who have elected to remain permanently and maintain their own land grants.

Urbanization[edit]

Urban domes have been constructed outside the starport but are largely unoccupied.

Linguistic Topography[edit]

The most commonly heard languages are:

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Cangarda possesses a Technology Level of TL–9.

  • Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics and satellite communication and data networks.
  • Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fusion power.
  • Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
    • Land: Ultra high-speed trains and early grav vehicles.
    • Water: High efficiency sailcraft, multihulled seacraft, improved artificial gills.
    • Air: Tiltrotorcraft, exotic VTOL's, PARWIG, and rocket-assisted suborbitals.
    • Space: SSTO spacecraft, early military spacecraft (System Craft), and interstellar STL starships
    • FTL: Prototype Jump Drive-1.

World Government (G)[edit]

Cangarda has no central government or substantial government apparatus; an Anarchy. The largest governmental structure would be a family, tribe, or single clan. The largest group will be between 50 and 100 individuals, and there may be dozens to hundreds of them. This governmental structure can be stable over long periods of time if the population remains small or geographically separated.

World Law (L)[edit]

Cangarda has no law in practice. It is an Anarchy. On many worlds, this by itself justifies an Amber Zone advisory. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate.
