Corinna is a pre-agricultural and nonindustrial garden world.
- Garden worlds are known for their near-ideal utopian environments conducive to most sophonts, plants, animals, and other forms of life.
- It is a pre-agricultural world with an environment suitable for large scale agricultural and livestock industries that have not yet been widely developed.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- Its economy and population are growing and living conditions are expected to slowly rise barring outside forces.
- It is a member of the Solomani Confederation in the Euxene Subsector of Aldebaran Sector.
- This is a temperate world, with a climate of pleasant, average temperatures, considered to be an ideal or near-ideal environment by many different sophont species.
- This is a "Reserve World" with restricted access, either to protect the indigenous lifeforms, to protect available resources, preserve pristine and idyllic real estate, or other reasons.
- This world-system has a Military Base, usually associated with military ground forces, which may be located on or off-world.
- It was the homeworld of the extinct Neozinga.
- It is home to a small population of Dolphins.

Description (Astrography & Planetology)
Stellar Data
Corinna has a solitary primary star.
- It is a yellow main sequence.
System Data
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x8 secondary rocky worlds.
- x3 gas giants.
Mainworld Data
Mainworld Size (S)
Corinna is a Meso World between 8,800km and 10,400km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.6G and 0.8G. The horizon will appear about 4.4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)
Corinna has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. A Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear although it may be hard on sophonts not accustomed to it.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)
Corinna has 65-75% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Satellites
Corinna retains a single small moon named Bone.
- It orbits once every few days.
Mainworld Geography and Topography
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
Corinna is a relatively young world, like many in this subsector. Active tectonics are creating three major mountain ranges and numerous archipelagos and islands.
(Blank map, predominantly watery world.)
Native Lifeforms
Abundant native life occupying every available ecological niche. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
At least two forms of bipedal tree-dwelling creatures have been found thus far, and both display significant levels of intelligence without being sophont.
- Colonies of these species seem to be clustered around the ruins of Neozinga urban centers.
History & Background (Dossier)
Corinna is a Reserve World with restricted access to certain areas of the surface, largely in place to interdict the many ruined cities on the world.
Native Sophont
The Neozinga were a minor race native to Corinna. Neozinga is the Solomani term for this species, which have been classified as non-humanoid walkers. More specifically, Neozinga were a winged insectoid / arthropodoid analog, massing between 25 and 50 kg, with a body length of approximately 1 meter. Feeding was achieved by a long, sharp proboscis, much like a Terran mosquito. Venom could also be injected via separate fangs. There are some signs that there was a psionic element to feeding, but there is little solid evidence.
Following repeated violent episodes against Solomani citizens, culminating in open attacks on Confederation interests, the Neozinga civilization was obliterated by orbital bombardment during the Rim War. Their now-ruinous cities are difficult for humanoids to navigate, as both walking and flying are required for various locations. The nature of Neozinga culture is not well-understood, but appears to have been highly cooperative, but within highly competitive tribes.
Solomani Security keeps a close eye on things to ensure the security of the Confederation and the well-being of its loyal citizens. Almost anyone could be a SolSec informant, passing on all sorts of useful information: some gain a reward or benefit for their actions, others are coerced, but many see it as an act of duty to help protect the Solomani state and its interests.
World Starport (St)
Corinna has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- This world is host to a major Military Base.
World Population (P)
Corinna has a population of 20,000 sophonts (tens of thousands).
- This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.
- More than 95% of the population (roughly 19,000 individuals) consists of Solomani humans.
- Less than 5% of the population (approximately 1000 individuals) is made up of Dolphins.
Urbanization
Corinna has two primary population centers, both human-built:
Ton Bleu is an orbital complex rated as a Class B highport, with a population of approximately 800.
- Sol Corinna is the orbital military base for the mainworld. Its population is estimated at 1200.
Linguistic Topography
The most commonly heard languages are:
- Delphinic Trinary, the principal language of Dolphins.
- Euxene French, a Terran language principally spoken in the Euxene Cluster.
- Rim Anglic, a dialect of Anglic and the principal language of the Confederation.
World Technology Level (T)
Corinna possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land & Water: Grav belts and maturing gravcraft.
- Air: Greatly improved hybrid grav-aircraft.
- Space: Improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-1.
World Government (G)
Corinna has a Captive Government or Colony. The world is ruled by an external government, there is no self-rule. This is a colony or conquered area. The local government is an oligarchy appointed by, and answerable only to, the external government.
World Military
A military base is maintained and operated by the Solomani Confederation forces as an orbital installation.
Armed patrols are periodically launched to monitor Neozinga urban centers and sites for signs of illegal activity.
World Law (L)
Corinna has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Light assault weapons, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
Its per-capita income is relatively high, reflecting that it is largely idyllic.
World Economy
Corinna has a gross planetary product of 4 BCr.
- Resources: Very Abundant (C)
- (Resources are any materials available for processing and exploitation. They include natural resources, minerals, ores, metals, energy sources, biological assets, and any other materials of limited availability.)
- Labor: Thousands(3)
- (Labor is the workforce available for the processing and exploitation of Resources.)
- Infrastructure: Very Limited (3)
- (Infrastructure is the established technical structures that support exploitation of resources. Infrastructure includes roads, power grids, communications, and factories.)
- Efficiency" Poor (3)
- (Efficiency reflects the current economic system, and includes sensible legal procedures, appropriate tariffs, customs promoting a balanced work ethic, rewards for merit, and social structures which match ability and job. Negative Efficiency is worse. Efficiency at -1 or less turn the RUs available negative: the Inefficiencies are so destructive as to make the economy a net drain. Such barriers represent a welfare state; cultural influences which do not value wealth, even physical limitations. On the other hand, since some economies have positive efficiencies: positive multipliers increasing available RU. )
- (The Economic Extension (Ex) is the strength of a world economy and provides basic insights into the economy’s structure and capabilities.)
- Resource Units- +/-TBD
- (The world's budget.)
Trade Data
Trade is centered around foodstuffs export, tourism, and cultural archaeology.
World Infrastructure
This world possesses Poor (3) infrastructure. The local government is maintaining cultural centers, streets, electrical grids, wire/wireless communication, and a decent Worldnet. This infrastructure is clustered around Corris and Vertis, with only beaten paths to outlying homesteads.
That said, local populations are making use of the damaged Neozinga roadways when possible, particularly when doing archeological work in the major urban center near Corris.
World Culture
A mixture of Ivraien culture with elements from Elyseen and Hypericum settlers. The later have chosen to settle higher elevations in Vertis generally, while the Ivraien colonists settle the coastal areas, which suits their physiological adaptations.
