Germer is a low-population vacuum world, with a population of less than 10,000 sophonts, warranting hazardous environment precautions.

Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]

Stellar Data[edit]

Germer is a binary star system.

  • The primary is a yellow main sequence.
  • The secondary is a red main sequence.
Germer has two stars in the star system.

System Data[edit]

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data[edit]

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Germer is a Small World between 900km and 2,400km in diameter. The world has very low gravity between 0.05G and 0.09G. The horizon will appear about 2km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Germer has a pressure of less than 0.001 atmospheres which requires the use of a Vacc Suit. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Germer has no free-standing water or ice on the surface. Wilderness refueling isn't possible on this world. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are classified Desert World or a Hell World depending on their atmosphere.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

(Blank map, vacuum world.)

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Comp-Prog-Dav-R-Deitrick-Starter-Trav-Page-16 16-July-2018a.jpg

Germer is a member of the Serpent Cluster, a minor trade route in the central-coreward part of Massilia Sector.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Germer has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

World Population (P)[edit]

Germer has a population of 80 sophonts (tens).

  • This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without significant outside assistance. This may represent a transient population such as the crew of a starship, the final survivors of a dying colony, an advance team setting up to receive colonists, or a small outpost where establishing a colony is not the primary objective.

Linguistic Topography[edit]

The most commonly heard languages are:

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Germer possesses a Technology Level of TL–15 or TL-F in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Government (G)[edit]

Germer has no central government or substantial government apparatus; an Anarchy. The largest governmental structure would be a family, tribe, or single clan. The largest group will be between 50 and 100 individuals, and there may be dozens to hundreds of them. This governmental structure can be stable over long periods of time if the population remains small or geographically separated.

World Law (L)[edit]

Germer has no law in practice. It is an Anarchy. On many worlds, this by itself justifies an Amber Zone advisory. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate.

Imperial Landed Nobility[edit]

Germer, as a member world of the Third Imperium has a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility who acts as an Imperial representative to the world.

Trade Data[edit]

  • Importance: 1 (ordinary)

World Economy[edit]

  • Resources: 9 (moderate)
  • Labor: 0 (none available)
  • Infrastructure: 1 (extremely limited)
  • Efficiency: -3 (poor)

World Culture[edit]

  • Heterogenity: 1 (monolithic)
  • Acceptance: 2 (very xenophobic)
  • Strangeness: 1 (very typical)
  • Symbols: A (abstract)
