Subsector Summary: 1105[edit]

Zilme, subsector E of Numbis Sector, contains 35 worlds with an estimated combined population of 68 billion, a per capita income of Cr8,759, and a total economy of BCr596,806. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr933 through 26 starports (7 Class A, 11 Class B, 8 Class C, 0 Class D) employing 196,165 people. Driving this interstellar trade are eight Agricultural (Ag) worlds, one Non-Agricultural (Na) world, two Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, one Pre-Industrial (Pi) world, five Rich (Ri) worlds, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Zilme maintain six Naval bases. The average technology level is 8 (with most between 4 and 11). The highest technology level is 14 at Holeri (Numbis 0220) and Thina (Numbis 0312).

Zilme, subsector E of Numbis Sector, contains 47 stars; 23 monostellar systems, 12 binary systems, no trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 25 of the 35 systems (71%) have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, four Desert (De) worlds, one Garden (Ga) world, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, seven Poor (Po) worlds, no Vacuum (Va) worlds, and two Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.

Zilme has an estimated population of 68 billion distributed across three High population (Hi) worlds, no Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 18 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, ten Low population (Lo) worlds, and one Barren (Ba) world. The highest population world is Thina (Numbis 0312). The population consists primarily of 1 sophont group.

Non-aligned[edit]

There are 17 Non-aligned worlds in Zilme with an estimated combined population of 2 billion.

Munsonian Principality[edit]

The Munsonian Principality has jurisdiction over 12 worlds in the subsector with an estimated combined population of 66 billion, a per capita income of Cr8,855, and a total economy of BCr584,505. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr151 through 9 starports (1 Class A, 6 Class B, 2 Class C, 0 Class D) employing 42,775 people. Driving this interstellar trade are one Agricultural (Ag) world, no Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, no Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, no Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, one Rich (Ri) world, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in the Munsonian Principality maintain two Naval bases within the subsector. The average technology level is 8 (with most between 5 and 11). The highest technology level is 14 at Thina (Numbis 0312).

The Munsonian Principality has an estimated population of 66 billion within the subsector, distributed across two High population (Hi) worlds, no Moderate population (Ph) worlds, five Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, four Low population (Lo) worlds, and one Barren (Ba) world. The highest population world is Thina (Numbis 0312). The population consists primarily of 1 sophont group.

United Pact[edit]

The United Pact has jurisdiction over six worlds in the subsector with an estimated combined population of 78 million, a per capita income of Cr6,371, and a total economy of BCr497. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr217 through 6 starports (4 Class A, 1 Class B, 1 Class C, 0 Class D) employing 46,360 people. Driving this interstellar trade are three Agricultural (Ag) worlds, no Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, no Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, one Pre-Industrial (Pi) world, one Rich (Ri) world, and no Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in the United Pact maintain three Naval bases within the subsector. The average technology level is 9 (with most between 6 and 12). The highest technology level is 12 at Doi (Numbis 0712), Fopetowan (Numbis 0714), and Cani (Numbis 0812).

The United Pact has an estimated population of 78 million within the subsector, distributed across no High population (Hi) worlds, no Moderate population (Ph) worlds, two Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, two Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. Those systems not on the great Numbis main instead formed cultural ties with worlds in Crucis Margin Sector to spinward, eventually being incorporated into the Amalgamation Union. By the time of the Imperial Second Survey, the Union was defunct.

Major Historical Events Timeline: 1116[edit]

These are some of the more important historical events that have affected this subsector:

  • Circa -2130: The worlds that will become the Corona Regnum are settled as a Terran cultural region. These colonies make contact with local Minor Races and, in time, the Hivers.
  • -2038: Several Hiver-inhabited worlds in Numbis are occupied by the K'kree, who begin exterminating local carnivore populations.
  • -2029 to -2013: The Hiver-K'kree War threatens the Hiver community.
    • Reactions among the Terran colonies are mixed.
    • -2023 to -2018: As a consequence of organizing defence during the war, the modern Hive Federation is codified.
    • Technological aid to nations like the Krotan Primacy and the Sha Elden Lith Kindriu results in a "hardening" of the K'kree-Hiver border.
    • The K'kree surrender and withdrawal is claimed to be the result of Hiver psychohistorical manipulation. Ithklur history, in the form of the Dikrah Kiradgi, records a different version of events.
  • (-1776 to 0): The Long Night.
  • Circa -1550: A reportedly zealous response to K'kree probes leads to the first declared Corona Regnum, as the systems of the Corona unite to stand against the larger threat.
    • The Regnum lasts roughly two centuries before collapsing in on itself.
    • The Gold Union forms at some unknown point on the Numbis-Crucis Margin border. It will in time apparently become the Amalgamation Union.
  • -740: New Human states in Numbis began to expand and conquer, causing the Corona Regnum to reform as a defensive act.
  • -710: Having repulsed attempts on its territory, the Corona Regnum begins conquering systems outside of the traditional Corona.
  • -510: The second Regnum collapses, again under its own weight.
  • The Year 0: Far to spinward, the Third Imperium is founded.
  • 224: A brief Third Corona Regnum is declared, but doesn't survive the death in fleet battle of its founder eight years later.
  • 300-420: The Imperial First Survey.
    • Some ships of the Survey go missing in the region. Fragmentary reports suggest that the Amalgamation ("Gold") Union is destabilizing.
  • 410: To aid in administration of the Young Worlds, the Hive Federation capital is moved to Glea.
  • 890: The Yeskoth Corporate begins formation around Edienta and Coreeedo.
  • 995 to 1065: The Imperial Second Survey.
    • There is no sign of the Amalgamation Union, aside from common architectural themes in old capital buildings and monuments.
  • 1114: A series of poorly timed Hiver and K’kree "diplomatic overtures" to worlds in the Corona cause a ripple effect of panic, resolve, and reunification.
