The Yeskoth Corporate, a polity, can be found on the very fringe of Human Space in Numbis Sector.

Astronavigational Codes[edit]

A wide variety of astronavigational codes have been used within and without the Imperium over its history. At least two major surveys by the IISS, the First Survey and Second Survey have helped to evolve this system.

None Pre-Imperial None No standard code None
Yeskoth Corporate 1st Survey (300) Yc 2-ltr code Began use in 890.
Yeskoth Corporate 2nd Survey (1065) YeCo 4-ltr code Formed in 890.

Goals[edit]

A. Goals: 1116[edit]

The current goals of the Corporate as a polity are:

  • Contain and stop expansion of the Corona Regnum
    • Use aggressive "recruiting" of adjacent lower technology systems into the Corporate. This might best be described as a hostile corporate takeover when a system resists.
    • Try to recruit higher technology and starfaring systems into joining through offers of technological exchange and trade.
  • Increase trade with other polities they are on good terms with, particularly Hivers and the Cytrialin Unity.
    • Seek Hiver technology in robotics
    • Seek Cytrialin Unity technology in Terraforming.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

It began formation about 890 around the two core planets of the polity, Edienta and Coreeedo. The intent was to form a larger, loose, alliance of systems to stop the expansion of the Corona Regnum. the Yeskoth Corporate since that time has grown primarily through incorporation of lower-technology worlds and systems incapable of resisting the Corporate's takeover.

The Yeskoth Corporate has grown large enough to become something of a barrier to K'Kree expansion. The Corporate's heavy reliance on robots and AI internally has made relations with the K'Kree almost nonexistent. The K'Kree simply do not know how they should interact with what they see as a largely "machine" society. Their view of the Yeskoth is that they are "unnatural" and to be avoided.

Government & Politics (Leadership)[edit]

Overview: 1116[edit]

The Yeskoth Corporate is formed around six core systems / worlds:

These six systems effectively control the Corporate.

  • Cigawan is the only system within the Corporate that Third Imperium ships other than merchants for trade are allowed to enter. The Yeskoth have grudgingly permitted a small Imperial Scout base to be established there for the purpose of monitoring the K'Kree.

The central government of the Yeskoth Corporate takes a very light hand in controlling local politics. Many Yeskoth worlds are balkanized and there is no attempt being made to centralize the government structure on these.

  • The central government places large numbers of robots and installs AI systems on all worlds within the Corporate to monitor local activity and ensure loyalty to the Corporate. Having to interface with robots and AI is a common way of life on any Yeskoth Corporate world. It should be expected that robots, both government and privately owned, will outnumber the sentient population significantly.
  • Government by AI and robot civil servants is commonplace.
  • The form of government can vary widely from one system to the next, as can law levels. The central Yeskoth government puts few restrictions on how individual systems govern themselves so long as they remain loyal.

Technology & Trade (Economy)[edit]

Technology[edit]

The highest general level of technology encountered in the Yeskoth Corporate is E. The Corporate does excel in two areas of technology however beyond this:

  • Robotics and AI. The maximum level of technology in this area is G and the Corporate is actively working to raise this to H.
  • Terraforming. The importation of terraforming technology from the Cytrialin Unity has given the corporate a level of F in this area.

Trade[edit]

Interstellar Commerce:[edit]

The Yeskoth Corporate emphasizes trade, particularly externally. They seek to import technology, goods, and services they lack while seeking to export their own technology and goods.

Their major trading partners are:

  • Munsonian Principality This polity is the source of much of the Yeskoth Corporate's military equipment, the Corporate preferring to import this rather than manufacture it locally for the most part.
  • United Pact

They do not trade with the following polities:

  • K'Kree This is mostly because the K'Kree are very disturbed by the Corporate's heavy use of robots and artificial environments. There is no overt animosity between the two however.
  • Corona Regnum There is no diplomatic or economic relations with this polity who the Yeskoth Corporate see as expansionist and Imperialistic.

They additionally trade with the following polities:

  • A central starport authority only exists at class A and B ports. Worlds without such a starport are allowed local control of their operations.

Military & Intelligence (Force Projection)[edit]

Military Forces[edit]

In general, the Yeskoth Corporate military has been and remains relatively small. They rely heavily on robotic and drone units that vastly outnumber manned ones.

Ground Forces[edit]

Ground forces are organized by system and there is only a small expeditionary force that is centrally controlled consisting of a "Marine Corps" of about 10,000 troops using TL 14 equipment.

Naval Forces[edit]

Naval forces are organized in a few small squadrons that are centrally controlled from Edienta or Coreeedo.

  • The bulk of the Yeskoth Navy is comprised of smaller ships intended for escorting merchant ship convoys both internally and externally.
  • All larger ships in the Yeskoth Navy are imported from the Munsonian Principality.
  • The Yeskoth merchant marine is far larger and includes a large number of ships exceeding 25,000 tons. These are capable of being heavily armed when necessary although they usually have only limited armament to deal with piracy.
