Tsaeousorrg is an industrial, high-population fluidic world with a billion or more sophonts.

  • A fluid world has an oceanic geography consisting of heavily contaminated water or a substance such as ammonia, methane, hydrocarbons, or other exotic liquid.
  • As an industrial world, this planet has well-developed manufacturing and processing industries. Manufactured goods are a major export item.
  • It is a member of the Ruler of Five in the Nikhigireki Subsector of Gzaekfueg Sector, which is part of the Vargr Extents.
  • This world is a "Twilight Zone World", a planet that is tidally-locked to its star. It has a hot side that permanently faces the star, a cold side that permanently faces away, and a narrow twilight zone in-between.

Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]

Stellar Data[edit]

Tsaeousorrg is a binary star system.

  • Both are red main sequence stars.
Tsaeousorrg has two stars in the star system.

System Data[edit]

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data[edit]

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Tsaeousorrg is a Big World between 13,600km and 15,200km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 1G and 1.3G. The horizon will appear about 5.4km away. Vessels with only 1G of thrust should avoid landing on this world.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Tsaeousorrg has an Exotic Atmosphere and possesses an unusual gas mix which requires the use of oxygen tanks. Additionally, protective suits, while not necessary, are recommended. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Tsaeousorrg has 45-55% of its surface covered by liquid water or ice heavily tainted with other substances, which makes it dangerous, corrosive, or toxic. Wilderness refueling will be difficult. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds may be Hell Worlds.

  • The water on the surface may be unsuitable for use or consumption without extensive filtering and purification.
  • Refining for fuel may cause issues with shipboard purification plants.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Comp-Prog-Dav-R-Deitrick-Starter-Trav-Page-16 16-July-2018a.jpg

The ruling Pack, a Charismatic Oligarchy, on Tsaeousorrg (SIGH-ow-sorrg) has become curiously interested in the Irilitok Vargr over the border, in Mendan Sector and further trailing. Taking a "big brotherly" stance on the smaller Vargr, the Urzaeng Vargr rulers have offered to allow delegate Emissaries to open an embassy at the local Startown adjacent to the Downport. This news has caught the Human and Vargr ears of the Menderes Corporation who have moved to put their Emissaries on the waiting list.

It is the hope of House Menderes and the Menderes megacorporation that the precedent on Tsaeousorrg can be carefully nurtured to create a reversing triangle of trade between the Ruler of Five (VRo5), the Julian Protectorate, and -- through the Humaniti employees of Menderes serving as an interfacing presence -- to the Third Empire of Gashikan just across the border. If the Urzaeng and the Gashikans will not trade with each other, Menderes hopes to take advantage of both by becoming a middle-man entity of commerce between two warring states.

The ruling Pack is aware that Menderes Irilitok are lining up and intends to lay lucrative tariffs on imports from the megacorporation, and thus grow rich on commerce between Tsaeousorrg and nearby Ksoegusnoeks (Gzaekfueg 2638), which has a significant technology lead on this corner world of the confederated Urzaeng polity.

Likewise, Menderes Corporation realizes that it is risky to open negotiations on an equivalent Red Zone world, but only the megacorporation has the means and money to hopefully relax the rating if an embassy foothold to Gzaekfueg Sector is gained. In contrast, the Third Empire of Gashikan does not want Menderes Corporation meddling in their quarrel with the Vargr of Gzaekfueg and its Agents move to poison the waiting list as best they can. This is leading to a commerce war to keep the Ruler of Five from trusting the corporate entity and allowing the Julians ingress to the sector.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Tsaeousorrg has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.

  • Vargr starports reflect the variety of Vargr architecture, with many disparate styles of building, each having their own unique ornamentation and gaudy colour scheme, and all competing for the attention of the onlooker. Emblems for the major shipping lines and port facilities abound.

World Population (P)[edit]

Tsaeousorrg has a population of 3,000,000,000 sophonts (billions).

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Tsaeousorrg possesses a Technology Level of TL–9.

  • Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics and satellite communication and data networks.
  • Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fusion power.
  • Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
    • Land: Ultra high-speed trains and early grav vehicles.
    • Water: High efficiency sailcraft, multihulled seacraft, improved artificial gills.
    • Air: Tiltrotorcraft, exotic VTOL's, PARWIG, and rocket-assisted suborbitals.
    • Space: SSTO spacecraft, early military spacecraft (System Craft), and interstellar STL starships
    • FTL: Prototype Jump Drive-1.

World Government (G)[edit]

Tsaeousorrg is governed by a Charismatic Oligarchy, like a charismatic dictatorship in that a larger group has asserted their right to rule. The group will likely have better rules of succession than a single dictator and may last longer, or may transition to a non-charismatic dictatorship.

World Law (L)[edit]

Tsaeousorrg has an extreme law level which covers every area of interaction. Laws are complex, detailed, and difficult to understand. Every interaction with the government requires an Advocate. Law enforcement is omnipresent and strict. Legal proceeding can take months to years to resolve and may involve dozens of people. Most worlds with this law level may be an Amber Zone or Red Zone. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (with no exception for private residences; visiting starships are only protected so long as they stay within designated starports and approach corridors). Civilian movement is rigidly controlled. There is no difference between the police and the military. This world is a full-fledged police state. Oppression is legalized, though not routine.

Trade Data[edit]

  • Importance: 2 (ordinary)

World Economy[edit]

  • Resources: B (abundant)
  • Labor: 8 (hundreds of millions)
  • Infrastructure: A (extensive)
  • Efficiency: +1 (average)

World Culture[edit]

  • Heterogenity: A (discordant)
  • Acceptance: C (xenophilic)
  • Strangeness: 6 (very distinct)
  • Symbols: 9 (somewhat abstract)
