SP Break 0830 is a poor, barren hellworld, which would challenge the survival of nearly any sophont in Charted Space if it weren't already barren.
- As a barren world, it has no overt population, government, or law level.
- Hellworlds often offer daily, and sometimes hourly, life-threatening situations to their inhabitants.
- This world could probably be populated by very determined colonists if any had an inclination to do so...
- It lies within the Solomani Preserve Break Worlds region in the Firepit Subsector of Thaku Fung Sector.
- The Solomani Preserve forbids settlement within this system.

System Data[edit]
- The mainworld.
- x11 secondary rocky worlds.
- x1 planetoid belt.
- x2 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
SP Break 0830 is a Meso World between 5,600km and 7,200km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.32G and 0.46G. The horizon will appear about 3.6km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
SP Break 0830 has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask. This atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds, which requires the use of a Filter Respirator Combination Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
The world has an abiotic oxygen atmosphere.
- Oxygen is produced by photocatalytic conversion of surface materials by stellar energy.
- Fresh surface material is constantly exposed through processes such as seismic activity, volcanism, or erosion.
- The oxygen rapidly depletes from the atmosphere through oxidization with surface materials: a rough equilibrium between production and depletion exists.
- The world has a low oxygen taint: the percentage of oxygen in the atmosphere varies according to the density of global cloud cover.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
SP Break 0830 has 15-25% of its surface covered by liquid water or ice. There may be a few small seas. Wilderness refueling is possible. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are Hell Worlds or Poor Worlds depending on their atmosphere.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
- Locally, detailed maps may be available.
(Blank map, predominantly dry world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
No native life: the world has an abiotic oxygen atmosphere.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
This is a barren world with no technology, government, culture, et cetera. There being no population, there is no law, save for the Solomani Preserve stopping all who attempt to colonize this world. Brief visits, such as for travellers to stretch their legs, are allowed so long as nothing is left behind.
World Starport (St)[edit]
SP Break 0830 does not have a starport. The Class X Starport is an indication that no starport exists in the system. There are no facilities or services available, and no site marked for landing.
World Population (P)[edit]
SP Break 0830 is a Barren World with no sophont population. It may still possess lifeforms.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
SP Break 0830 possesses a Tech Level of TL–0.
- The world has no technological base.
World Government (G)[edit]
SP Break 0830 has no government or ruling authority of any kind.
World Law (L)[edit]
SP Break 0830 has no law level. No laws of any kind are enforced.

World Timeline[edit]
Major events that have affected this world and the wider region that it lies within:
- -9235: to rimward the Vilani discover jump drive technology. Over the centuries pioneers and settlers gradually spread across the core regions of Charted Space.
- -4045 to -2204: the Ziru Sirka controls vast territories.
- -3810: the Vargr discover jump technology and begin an era of expansion.
- -3700s onwards: waves of Vargr settle worlds across the Extents. Due to its vast distance from the core regions few Vargr ever reached the sector.
- -2431: Terrans discover jump drive technology.
- -2404 to -2215: the Interstellar Wars. The young Terran Confederation battles against and ultimately triumphs over the ancient Vilani Ziru Sirka.
- -2204 to -1776: the Rule of Man administers the former Ziru Sirka.
- -1862 to -1110: the Terran Mercantile Community controls the former territory of the Terran Confederation.
- -1776 to 0: the Long Night. There is widespread regression and some worlds become barren.
- circa -1700: Vargr expansion and settlement gradually ceases.
- -1690: Solomani colonists depart Terran space.
- -1685: the Solomani Preserve is founded.
- circa -200: Vargr expansion increases, with a few worlds being settled within the subsectors along the sector's rimward fringe. The Break Worlds region is more stringently enforced.
- The Year 0: far to rimward, the Third Imperium is founded.
- 300-420: the Imperial First Survey charts the system.
- 995-1065: the Imperial Second Survey charts the system.
- circa 1040: the Empress Wave, believed to be a bizarre, massive jumpspace anomaly, enters the coreward edge of the sector.
It travels at around 1 parsec per year in a rimward direction, leaving a wake of disruption and chaos as it passes. - 1065: the Second Survey is published.
- circa 1080: the Empress Wave exits the rimward edge of the sector.
Later Historical Eras[edit]
In general, "Later Historical Eras" refers to events that occur post-1116 – a date that marks the beginning of the Rebellion, which ultimately led to the collapse of the Third Imperium. The year 1116 is seen as a historical dividing line, as it were, between the old and the new.
The Imperial Rebellion and its consequences were largely meaningless on the far coreward edge of Charted Space – for worlds in Thaku Fung Sector the key historical event that marked the divide between the old and the new was the Empress Wave. In this context, "Later Historical Eras" generally refers to the events in the years, decades, and centuries following the passage of the Wave.
- The Wave entered the coreward edge of the subsector around the year 1060, passing through its territory at a rate of roughly 1 parsec per year, and exited the rimward edge of the subsector around the year 1070. Its effects varied from world to world, but were never good: it left insanity, ecological problems, societal collapse, and death in its wake.
