- The world serves as the subsector capital with the significant extra trade and prestige associated with that role.
- This is a "high technology" world with technology achievements at, near, or above the standard for Charted Space.
- It lies on the Huon Arm of the Greater Massilia Main.

K'zass is a Meso World between 7,200km and 8,800km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.4G and 0.57G. The horizon will appear about 4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
K'zass has a pressure of 0.43 to 0.70 atmospheres. While the thin atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
K'zass has 55-65% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
K'zass serves as the capital of Ten Suns Subsector.
It lies on the Huon Arm, the rimward branch of the Greater Massilia Main.
It is believed by some that the name is from a dialect of Kadli, the Darmine primary language, though others dispute this. Waves of Darmine, Vilani, and Solomani settlement have defined the region over several millennia.
World Starport (St)[edit]
K'zass has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

K'zass is governed by a Civil Service Bureaucracy. The leadership of the government takes another form (democracy, dictatorship, oligarchy), but the bureaucracy leadership influences policy. The government leadership may select the bureaucracy leadership, but not its membership. Usually the governmental leadership is divided, or incapable of setting policy, and the bureaucracy provides a stabilizing influence. This ruling bureaucracy may be the full government bureaucractic apparatus or a section with limited jurisdiction but considerable influence, like the military.
World Law (L)[edit]
K'zass has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. Personal concealable firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
