The Haddox Association is an interstellar polity.
- It lies within Astron Sector

Member Worlds: 1105[edit]
Twelve worlds are members of the Association.
Vantor Subsector[edit]
- Vantor, a non-industrial world with abundant natural resources. The 800,000 inhabitants are governed by a Participatory Democracy.
- Tonicha, a poor desert world with concentrations of rare minerals. It has around 10,000 inhabitants and is overseen by a Corporation.
- Couzona, a frigidly cold exotic atmosphere world with an orbital port facility and 400 permanent staff administered by senior technical personnel.
- It is a Jump-1 transit point for ships travelling within the Haddox Cluster.
- Gammon, a pleasant agricultural world with abundant native life. The 800,000 inhabitants are controlled by a Self-Perpetuating Oligarchy.
- Aujuittuq, a mineral-rich frozen world orbiting its star at the outer edge of the habitable zone. 3000 staff are administered by a Corporation.
Haddox Subsector[edit]
- Gheyathi, a cold world that is extremely rich in minerals and resources. It is home to around 600 independent surveyors and prospectors and their dependants
- Qikiqtani, a water world with a standard atmosphere that is rich with marine life. It is home to 100,000 inhabitants administered by an efficient bureaucracy.
- Pwica, a hot, poor, barren, desert hell world with limited natural resources. It is unpopulated and kept as a reserve.
- It serves as a Jump-1 transit point.
- Nevi, a poor non-industrial twilight zone world with abundant natural resources. It is home to 800,000 inhabitants overseen by independent local governments.
- Haddox, a rich garden world with a tropical climate. It has a population of 500 million and is controlled by independent local governments, each controlling a different region. Each region is administered based on technical proficiency, with senior technical personnel, supported by an efficient bureaucracy, assuming leadership roles.
- It is the primary world of the Haddon Association.
- Sunset, a non-industrial, rich, twilight zone world orbiting very close to its star. It is home to 2 million inhabitants and is governed by senior technical personnel supported by an efficient bureaucracy.
- It is the second most important world of the Haddon Association.
- Thuverhi, a warm world with a dense, tainted atmosphere, abundant native life, and plentiful resources. It is kept as a reserve.
Demographics: 1105[edit]
The Haddox Association has an approximate population of 503.714 million.
- All are human, though their origins remain undefined.
- They may be associated in some way with the Zhodani.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The origins of the Haddox Association are unclear. It appears to have been founded sometime after the First Survey of 300-420, but prior to the Second Survey of 995-1065.
- Its two prime worlds are Haddox and Sunset.
- The Association has a common tech level of TL–9 and primarily uses Jump-1 vessels.
Estimates place the settlement of Haddox and Sunset at sometime around the year 770. This is based on hearsay evidence only. Similarly vague evidence places the founding of the Association to around the year 800. Settlement of the other worlds of the Haddox Cluster appears to date from a similar period and had supposedly ceased by around the year 1000, even though relatively prime worlds such as Thuverhi remain barren.
The Association trades with the Muu of Jileso.
- Its Jump-1-equipped vessels use a Calibration Point located at hex 2917 to reach the Muu homeworld.
Symbols[edit]
The polity uses three vertical, slightly offset orange circles as its symbol.
- The imagery is based on the Three Sisters, a group of three orange giant stars lying within Fundibul Subsector.
- This is also the symbol for Astron Sector as a whole.
Internal Governance[edit]
Almost nothing is known with certainty about the government or political structure of the Association.
- It appears to be a private or commercial colonial venture.
- Its prime worlds are Haddox and Sunset: it seems likely that their local governments are a model for the state.
Both Haddox and Sunset are governed by selected senior technical personnel, who are supported by efficient bureaucracies. Although it is supposition, it seems reasonable to assume that the Association as a whole follows a similar form of governance, especially given the relative uniformity of technology and culture across the worlds it controls.
External Relations[edit]
The Association may have some connection to the Zhodani.
Trade Routes[edit]
The Droyne have constructed the Tsehoynu Station, a large facility within an empty hex.
- It lies within hex 0218 of Rosorky Subsector of Fulani Sector.
- It facilitates Droyne interaction with the Association.
The Droyne shipyards on Naylyoeatru can manufacture up to Jump-2 range vessels.
- The station facilitates Droyne interaction with the Haddox Association in Astron Sector and with sophont species within the region.
- Its location is widely known and access is freely granted to Association vessels.

Technology[edit]
The worlds of the Association have a relatively similar level of technology: around TL–9. Only two worlds (Gammon and Qikiqtani) have a slightly lower level of development: around TL–7.
- Technological devices and equipment are interchangeable across the worlds of the Association.
- Technology is functional, efficient, and reliable.
Spacecraft[edit]
The Association has no Class A Starports within its territory.
- The closest class A port is located at Naylyoeatru, a Droyne world some 7 parsecs to Trailing, within Fulani Sector.
The Associations complement of starships and spacecraft remains largely unknown.
- Any commercial or military fleet it possesses are likely to be small TL–9 Jump-1 vessels. Recently they have procured a few Haddox class Merchant Cruisers in a very important and sensitive negotiation with the shipyards of Naylyoeatru.
- Such craft are likely constructed at Naylyoeatru.
The Association is known to possess at least one TL–11 Assistance class Tender.
The tender was commissioned to serve the needs of the Association.
- It maintains and repairs other military, commercial, and mercantile craft belonging to the polity.
- It was manufactured on Naylyoeatru and returns there annually to receive its own maintenance.
- It is likely the single most advanced item within the Association and is carefully protected.
Timeline[edit]
- 300-420: the First Survey details the worlds and stars of the Haddox Cluster. The Association is not noted as being present.
- ca 770: estimated date for the initial settlement of Haddox and Sunset, in Haddox Subsector.
- ca 800: estimated date for the founding of the Association.
- ca 820: formal relations are established with the Droyne of Naylyoeatru, in Fulani Sector. Trade agreements are signed.
- 900s: settlement within the Haddox Cluster slows.
- 995-1065: the Imperial Second Survey notes the presence of the polity.
