Gheyathi is a low-population world with a population of less than 10,000 sophonts in size.
- This world has yet to take off economically or otherwise and the population remains low for reasons largely unknown.
- It is a member of the Haddox Association in the Haddox Subsector of Astron Sector.
- This is a temperate world, with a climate of pleasant, average temperatures, considered to be an ideal or near-ideal environment by many different sophont species.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Greyathi is a binary star system.
- Both are orange main sequence stars.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x6 secondary rocky worlds.
- x4 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
The mainworld orbits within the star's Habitable Zone.
- It lies within the zone's prime H region.
- It receives moderate levels of stellar energy.
- The world orbits inside the star's Jump Shadow.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Gheyathi is a Meso World between 10,400km and 12,000km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.7G and 0.9G. The horizon will appear about 4.7km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Gheyathi has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Gheyathi has 65-75% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Satellites:[edit]
Gheyathi retains two tiny planetoid moons.
- Their surfaces are cratered and irregular
- They orbit once every few days.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
- Locally, detailed maps may be available.
- Verified updated charts are constantly sought.
- Detailed survey data commands premium prices.
(Placeholder chart, predominantly watery world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Primitive, specialized native life filling a few specific ecological niches. Its metabolic functions help regulate the process of atmospheric renewal.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Gheyathi is a member of the Haddox Association, a small interstellar polity located within the subsector.
- The system has been settled for more than three centuries.
- There is occasional interstellar traffic, primarily from other member worlds of the Association.
- The resources of the system are being exploited.
Detailed information about the system is limited.
- Verified updated data is constantly sought.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Gheyathi has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Gheyathi possesses a Technology Level of TL–9.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics and satellite communication and data networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Early fusion power.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Ultra high-speed trains and early grav vehicles.
- Water: High efficiency sailcraft, multihulled seacraft, improved artificial gills.
- Air: Tiltrotorcraft, exotic VTOL's, PARWIG, and rocket-assisted suborbitals.
- Space: SSTO spacecraft, early military spacecraft (System Craft), and interstellar STL starships
- FTL: Prototype Jump Drive-1.
World Government (G)[edit]
Gheyathi has no central government or substantial government apparatus; an Anarchy. The largest governmental structure would be a family, tribe, or single clan. The largest group will be between 50 and 100 individuals, and there may be dozens to hundreds of them. This governmental structure can be stable over long periods of time if the population remains small or geographically separated.
World Military[edit]
No information yet available.
World Law (L)[edit]
Gheyathi has no law in practice. It is an Anarchy. On many worlds, this by itself justifies an Amber Zone advisory. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate.
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: F (extremely abundant)
- Labor: 1 (tens)
- Infrastructure: 1 (extremely limited)
- Efficiency: +3 (improved)
Trade Data[edit]
- Importance: -2 (very unimportant)
World Demographics (P)[edit]
Greyathi has a population of 600
Urbanization[edit]
A single central facility with a few outlying structures and compounds.
- Almost all of the surface of the world is wilderness.
World Culture[edit]
- Homogeneity: 1 (monolithic)
- Acceptance: 1 (extremely xenophobic)
- Strangeness: A (incomprehensible)
- Symbols: 9 (somewhat abstract)
World Timeline[edit]
- 300-420: The First Survey details the worlds and stars of the Haddox Cluster, which are as yet unpopulated.
- ca 770: Estimated date for the initial settlement of the world.
- ca 800: Estimated date for the founding of the Haddox Association.
- ca 820: Formal relations are established by the Haddox Association with the Droyne of Naylyoeatru, in Fulani Sector. Trade agreements are signed.
- 900s: Settlement within the Haddox Cluster slows.
- 995-1065: The Imperial Second Survey notes the presence of the polity.
