Frenzie is a nonindustrial vacuum world, which warrants hazardous environment precautions.

  • Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
  • As a nonindustrial world, it requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. The need to import most manufactured and high technology goods drives the price of these goods up in the open market.
  • It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Vilis Subsector of Spinward Marches Sector in the Domain of Deneb.
  • It orbits the system's secondary star.
  • The world serves as the subsector capital with the significant extra trade and prestige associated with that role.
  • This world has an Imperial Naval Base, capable of handling warships.
  • The system is located in the Vilis Trace.

Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]

Stellar Data[edit]

Frenzie is a binary star system.

  • The primary is a turbulent red giant.
  • The secondary is a red main sequence.
Frenzie has two stars in the star system.

System Data[edit]

The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:

Mainworld Data[edit]

Frenzie is a very cold planet orbiting the system's secondary star, a dim red dwarf. There is some evidence that the world once had an atmosphere and even supported life, but any atmosphere and volatiles have been stripped away by energy radiated by the star.

Mainworld Size (S)[edit]

Frenzie is a Small World between 2,400km and 4,000km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.1G and 0.17G. The horizon will appear about 2.5km away.

Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]

Frenzie has a pressure of less than 0.001 atmospheres which requires the use of a Vacc Suit. TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.

Vacuum World 07.jpg

Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]

Frenzie has no free-standing water or ice on the surface. Wilderness refueling isn't possible on this world. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are classified Desert World or a Hell World depending on their atmosphere.

Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]

No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.

History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Comp-Prog-Dav-R-Deitrick-Starter-Trav-Page-16 16-July-2018a.jpg

The system's huge primary star causes interference, strange tones and noises, and heavy static on commo and sensors.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Frenzie has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

Naval Presence[edit]

Until and during the Fifth Frontier War, the 23rd Fleet was based at Frenzie. The Imperial 193rd Fleet moved to Frenzie after the post-Fifth Frontier War restructuring having covered itself with glory during the war (the 23rd Fleet was in turn moved to the Rhylanor Subsector). Frenzie is still considered a high prestige posting to this day.

World Population (P)[edit]

Frenzie has a population of 10,000 sophonts (tens of thousands).

  • This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.

Linguistic Topography[edit]

The following languages are most commonly heard:

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Frenzie possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.

World Government (G)[edit]

Frenzie is governed by Self-Perpetuating Oligarchy. A single family or small group provides the leadership and important positions in the government. These positions are inherited by member of the group or their family members. The organization may be a monarchy, with titles passed to family members, or a plutocracy where inheritance of the family fortune includes government position. Alternatively, the organization may be a more typical government apparatus, only with positions of power inherited.

World Law (L)[edit]

Frenzie has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms except shotguns, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.

Imperial Landed Nobility[edit]

Frenzie, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial Landed Knight who acts as an Imperial representative to the world, and the fiefdom of a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility, who oversees affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level.

  • It holds the estate of an Imperial knight, the Imperial representative to the world.
  • It holds the fiefdom of an Imperial subsector duke, who also conducts affairs regarding the entire subsector at the Interstellar and Imperial level.
  • This world holds the estate of the Count of Frenzie. [2]
» The Count of Frenzie also currently holds the title of Duke of Frenzie as Duke of Vilis Subsector.
While the Duke of Frenzie is notionally the Subsector Duke, many of the worlds in the subsector are still controlled by the Duchy of Regina via the County of Vilis. In practice, the Duke of Frenzie only controls the County of Frenzie, which is contiguous with the Duchy's bounds and is likewise a demesne of the Duke of Frenzie.
