Subsector N of Numbis Sector.

Description (Specifications)[edit]

A border region of the Hive Federation, once involved in the war between the Hivers and the K'kree. The name of the subsector has varied over the years, but has largely settled into two options. The Hivers and their clients use a Gurviotic word that translates to "Discord", reflecting the war that once touched the region. The Humans of the Corona typically call the subsector by the name of their most successful world here, the venerable and honored world of Regal. Visitors from elsewhere in the sector often combine the two, naming the subsector Discord-Regal.

Subsector Summary: 1105[edit]

Discord-Regal, subsector N of Numbis Sector, contains 31 worlds with an estimated combined population of 62 billion, a per capita income of Cr12,137, and a total economy of BCr759,421. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr3,796 through 28 starports (5 Class A, 5 Class B, 13 Class C, 5 Class D) employing 1,245,395 people. Driving this interstellar trade are eight Agricultural (Ag) worlds, two Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, no Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, six Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, two Rich (Ri) worlds, and three Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Discord-Regal maintain three Naval bases, three Military bases, one Naval outpost, and one Hiver Embassy. The average technology level is 7 (with most between 4 and 10). The highest technology level is 15 at Wrostaqax (Numbis 1638).

Discord-Regal, subsector N of Numbis Sector, contains 49 stars; 14 monostellar systems, 16 binary systems, one trinary system, and no systems with four or more stars. 24 of the 31 systems (77%) have native gas giants. There are one Asteroid (As) belt, one Desert (De) world, one Garden (Ga) world, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, three Poor (Po) worlds, three Vacuum (Va) worlds, and two Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.

Discord-Regal has an estimated population of 62 billion distributed across three High population (Hi) worlds, two Moderate population (Ph) worlds, ten Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, seven Low population (Lo) worlds, and one Barren (Ba) world. The highest population worlds are Regal (Numbis 0931) and Wrostaqax (Numbis 1638). The population consists primarily of 5 sophont groups including two native sophonts.
