Kirur is a high-population garden world with a billion or more sophonts in population size and a near-ideal utopian environment conducive to most sophonts.
- Its economy and population are rapidly growing and living conditions are expected to quickly rise barring outside forces.
- This world is also the overall capital of an interstellar government with the massive extra trade and prestige associated with that role.
- This is a "high technology" world with technology achievements at, near, or above the standard for Charted Space.
- This is a temperate world, with a climate of pleasant, average temperatures, considered to be an ideal or near-ideal environment by many different sophont species.
- It is a member of the Two Thousand Worlds in the Tareeirii Subsector of Ruupiin Sector.
- This world-system has a Naval Base, usually associated with military starships, which may be located on or off-world.
- It is the homeworld of the K'kree.
- It is the capital of the Two Thousand Worlds.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
This system is located on the eponymous Kirur Main.
Stellar Data[edit]
Kirur has a solitary primary star, named Gzang.
- It is a white main sequence.

Mainworld Data[edit]
Kirur, along with its large and close moon Kirrixur, form a double planet that occupies the third orbit from its primary star, Gzang.
The planet's oceans are extremely shallow and the world exhibits almost no volcanic activity, very unusual for a world of its size. Kirur has one large continent, which was conquered in prehistoric times by the current ruling clan.
- Kirur is one of the most politically stable planets known.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Kirur is a Meso World between 12,000km and 13,500km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.8G and 1.1G. The horizon will appear about 5.1km away. Vessels with 1G of thrust should check with local starport authorities before attempting to land using emergency power.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Kirur has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. A Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear and will likely be easy for most sophonts to breathe.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Kirur has 25-35% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has a few small seas. Wilderness refueling is possible. Water for the inhabitants will be recycled.
Mainworld Geography & Topography[edit]
Kirur has a single continent, with seas at each pole. Lands facing the seas are backed by low, rough hills, while the interior features wide plains, rising to a series of old mountains running northwest to southeast. These experience only intermittent, unpredictable rainfall, often in the form of flash floods, so are cut by deep valleys. Where the plains receive water -- from rainfall, rivers, or buried ancient seas -- there is pasture; elsewhere is bare rock. From its interior out, Kirur is a desert, shading into arid steppes, then to prairie, and ultimately into fertile lowlands and temperate rainforest.
Locations on Kirur include the following:
- Charr'chaariv
- Dead Sea
- Kalaghee: A Xagha
- Xtengir Uplands

Native Lifeforms[edit]
Most of Kirur's plant life is grassy, growing from the junction of its root and leaf rather than from the tip. Almost all of it contains a water trap mechanism for capturing early morning dew. Little of it is woody; tree or shrub analogs only arose on slopes facing into a sea breeze, or along surface watercourses.
The fauna of Kirur are all hexapods. Most are ground-hugging animals; the "centaur" structure of the K'kree body is unusual. There are a few gliding creatures, with webs of skin between their legs, and smaller relatives capable of flight, but no true birds.
Few of Kirur's animals survived the K'kree. All the big predators were killed, and the collapse of predator-prey relationships ruined the ecosystem, which has been artificially stabilised.
Native Sophont (NIL): K'kree[edit]
A herbivorous Major Race descended from herd animals.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Kirur is the homeworld and capital of the Two Thousand Worlds, the interstellar empire of the K'kree.
The word "Kirur" literally means "earth, expansive". Amusingly, this means that the K'kree and their enemy the Hivers have named their homeworlds near identically, as Guaran translates as something like "big earth".
World Starport (Sp)[edit]
Kirur has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- There is an associated Naval Base.
World Population (P)[edit]
Kirur has a population of 10,000,000,000 sophonts (tens of billions).
- High Population Worlds like this tend to have huge consumer markets.
World Demographics[edit]
- K'Kree, 100% (save for a small enclave of resident aliens near the capital)
World Languages[edit]
- !Kee (K'kree native language)
Urbanization[edit]
The capital city of Kirur -- and of the Two Thousand Worlds -- is Rak'keer!.
There are huge, sprawling settlements on the arable land. Desalination plants dot irrigated fields, and automated mines scour out the highlands. Farming machines work the sea floors, while fountain-towers manage the oxygen content of the atmosphere. The coasts are ringed with the ruins of old agricultural communities.
World Government (G)[edit]
Kirur, like all K'kree worlds, is governed by a hierarchy of Krurruna (bosses) who ultimately report to and owe complete allegiance to the Steppelord of the world. In the case of Kirur, the Steppelord is also the ruler of all K'kree, the Steppelord of the Two Thousand Worlds.
World Law Level (L)[edit]
K'kree worlds do not use a fixed Law Level scale, other than to forbid weaponry to anyone of any race who is not of the K'kree Warrior/Bodyguard caste or an active member in the military of the Two Thousand Worlds (which makes them a Warrior caste temporarily).
- By Imperial standards, this world's law is "Excessively oppressive and restrictive".
- Generally, K'kree justice is merciful to other K'kree. Misunderstandings and the rare criminal matters are judged by the Krurruna (herd "boss") or their representatives. Their decisions are final, and obedience is near-absolute. Towards non-K'kree, the authorities are far less charitable, as K'kree are highly chauvinistic and mistrustful of aliens.
World Technology Level (TL)[edit]
Kirur possesses a Technology Level of TL–15 or TL-F in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Meson Communicators and Pseudo Reality Communications.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Miniature super-batteries, improved collectors, and advanced Fusion+.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land & Water: Advanced gravcraft.
- Air: Advanced gravcraft and speeders.
- Space: Advanced gravcraft and G-Carriers.
- FTL: Jump Drive-6.
