Xagha

A type of K'kree settlement.
The word literally means "refreshment" in !kee. In ancient times, it defined a defended place along the route of a march, where a K'kree herd would stop for a time for rest. In time, the word took on the meaning of a place of spiritual refreshment as well as literal. It came to refer specifically to a kind of portable enclosure set up within the camp. Carrying definite religious connotations, the xagha has been called a 'temple camp' by Human authorities. Artifacts, weapons, and writings -- links with K'kree history -- are displayed within.
Many historic xagha still exist on Kirur. They have also been established on other worlds, including by offshoot nations like the Lords of Thunder.
