Steppelord

A translated title of authority among the K'kree. It is an Anglic approximation of the !kee word Ghik'keer!k.

K'kree herds are led by Krurruna (literally, bosses) under a single Ghik'keer!k. In recent times, most herds have been assigned specific geographic areas (several may be part of a city, or a single herd may range over millions of hectares of farmland). A number of herds are governed by a single Ghir'ghik'keer!k ("Lord of Steppelords"), usually, the ruler of an entire planet. An "Overlord of Lords", a Ghir'k'reek, might oversee the government of a number of planets, while the ultimate authority is the "Steppelord of the Two Thousand Worlds", the Ghik'keer!k'ak T't'tkahk Xeng Kirr Tkexirr.
