History & Background (Dossier)[edit]

Comp-Prog-Dav-R-Deitrick-Starter-Trav-Page-16 16-July-2018a.jpg

Bendor is located on a jump-2 route between Trin and the Bellion worlds. It is strongly isolationist, but has accepted membership within the Imperium to obtain protection against potential invaders. The entire world outside the starport is closed to visitors.

In the long centuries since Bendor was originally colonized, the world has only gradually opened up to the external universe.

World Starport (St)[edit]

Bendor has a Class A Starport, an excellent quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and other kinds of repair, and construction of both starships and non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.

The Naval Base hosts elements of the 100th Fleet.

World Population (P)[edit]

Bendor has a population of 8,000,000 sophonts (millions).

  • This is a Nonindustrial World, too small to support the complete chain of production of most goods from start to finish.

The following languages are most commonly heard:

World Technology Level (T)[edit]

Bendor possesses a Technology Level of TL–12 or TL-C in Hexadecimal Notation.

Bendor is governed by a Feudal Technocracy. Society divides itself based on the technical requirements of the society. Each of these functions are granted as a fief to an individual or group. Leadership of these fiefs determines the head of the government.

World Law (L)[edit]

Bendor has a moderate level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms except shotguns, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.

Imperial Landed Nobility[edit]

Bendor, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial Landed Knight who acts as an Imperial representative to the world, and the fiefdom of a member of the Imperial Landed Nobility, who oversees affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level.
