Akushis is a high-population ring of many small worldlets (planetoids AKA an "asteroid belt"), not capable of retaining an atmosphere or water, and are both non-agricultural and industrial in nature with a billion or more sophonts in population size.
- These worldlets warrant hazardous environment precautions.
- Life in a vacuum requires great discipline. After all, it only takes one forgotten seal on a vacuum suit to spell death. Those who survive tend to be very methodically-minded and attentive to small detail.
- As a group of industrial worldlets, well-developed manufacturing and processing sectors are major business here. Manufactured goods are a major export item.
- The worldlets are, for the most part, unable to produce quality foodstuffs and must import them.
- It is a member of the Lancian Cultural Region, a sub-polity of the Third Imperium, located in the Isi Ahto Subsector of Gushemege Sector.
- This is a "Puzzle" world designated as an Amber Zone. Caution is advised since the world has an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that are not well understood and might be a danger to a visitor.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)
Akushis has a solitary primary star.
- It is a red main sequence.

System Data
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x12 secondary rocky worlds.
- x4 gas giants.
Mainworld Data
Mainworld Size (S)
Akushis is an Asteroid Belt consisting of a few very large objects with diameters of hundreds of kilometers, thousands of bodies of a few kilometers in diameter, and millions of smaller objects.
- Asteroid Belt is the belt when it is the mainworld of a system.
- Planetoid Belt refers to any non-mainworld belt within a system.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)
None of the bodies within the Akushis belt retain an atmosphere.
- The belt is in vacuum conditions, requiring the use of a Vacc Suit.
- TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)
The Akushis belt contains a few icy bodies. A few belt objects have frozen volatiles on their surfaces.
- Wilderness refueling is possible within the belt, provided a suitable icy object can be found.
- Water for the inhabitants is generally imported and is extensively recycled.
Mainworld Geography and Topography
No centrally held chart of the belt exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Placeholder chart, asteroid belt.)
History & Background (Dossier)
Akushis is a Puzzle World and is designated as an Amber Zone. It presents particular risks and dangers due to the environment or native life forms, laws or customs, or other conditions that are not well understood.
- Visitors are advised to act with caution.
World Starport (St)
Akushis has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.
World Population (P)
Akushis has a population of 1,000,000,000 sophonts (billions).
- High Population Worlds like this tend to have huge consumer markets.
- Almost the entire population consists of Lancians.
World Languages
The following languages are most commonly heard:
- Anglic, one of the two official languages of the Imperium.
- Kehuu, the primary Lancian language, as common on the worlds of the Cultural Region as Anglic or Vilani.
- Ushi, a language used throughout Gushemege Sector.
- Vilani, one of the two official languages of the Imperium.
World Technology Level (T)
Akushis possesses a Technology Level of TL–11 or TL-B in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land, Water & Air: Personal G-Tubes and advanced gravcraft.
- Space: Advanced interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-2.
World Government (G)
Akushis is governed by a Charismatic Dictatorship. Charismatic governments justify their ability to rule by simply asserting their right to rule. Charismatic dictatorships are young governments, coming as a recent change and rely on the leader(s) to supply head of government.
World Law (L)
Akushis has an extreme law level which covers every area of interaction. Laws are complex, detailed, and difficult to understand. Every interaction with the government requires an Advocate. Law enforcement is omnipresent and strict. Legal proceeding can take months to years to resolve and may involve dozens of people. A world with this law level may be an Amber Zone or a Red Zone. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (with no exception for private residences; visiting starships are only protected so long as they stay within designated starports and approach corridors). Civilian movement is rigidly controlled. Travel documents are frequently checked. There is no legal concept of privacy (save for those who can claim necessity for official government business). The police are free to inspect anyone and anything at any time.
Imperial High (Landed) Nobility (N)
Akushis, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estates of two members of the Imperial Nobility, who are charged with overseeing the world.
