Sindal Subsector is a largely unclaimed subsector. It currently consists mostly of worlds not part of any large government. One corner is part of the Imperium and is connected to it by an X-boat route from the Tobia subsector. Sindal has no subsector capital, and so the Imperial worlds are controlled from the neighboring subsector. [1]

Description

The Sindal Subsector is defended by 203rd Fleet.

Subsector Summary: 1105

Sindal, subsector G of Trojan Reach, contains 17 worlds with an estimated combined population of 21 billion, a per capita income of Cr9,999, and a total economy of BCr212,925. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr462 through 15 starports (3 Class A, 7 Class B, 3 Class C, 2 Class D) employing 123,435 people. Driving this interstellar trade are two Agricultural (Ag) worlds, one Non-Agricultural (Na) world, one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, no Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, two Rich (Ri) worlds, and one Industrial (In) world. The governments in Sindal maintain two Naval bases. The average technology level is 8 (with most between 5 and 12). The highest technology level is 15 at Theev (Trojan Reach 2116).

Sindal, subsector G of Trojan Reach, contains 27 stars and 218 identified planets; nine monostellar systems, six binary systems, two trinary systems, and no systems with four or more stars. 15 of the 17 systems (88%) have native gas giants. There are no Asteroid (As) belts, two Desert (De) worlds, two Garden (Ga) worlds, no Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, five Poor (Po) worlds, one Vacuum (Va) world, and one Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) world.

Sindal has an estimated population of 21 billion distributed across one High population (Hi) world, two Moderate population (Ph) worlds, five Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, four Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Albe (Trojan Reach 2211). The population consists primarily of 2 sophont groups including one native sophont.

Non-Aligned, Human-dominated

There are 14 Non-Aligned Human-dominated worlds in Sindal with an estimated combined population of 1 billion.

Third Imperium, Domain of Deneb

The Third Imperium, Domain of Deneb has jurisdiction over three worlds in the subsector with an estimated combined population of 20 billion, a per capita income of Cr10,500, and a total economy of BCr210,000. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr151 through 3 starports (1 Class A, 1 Class B, 1 Class C, 0 Class D) employing 45,510 people. Driving this interstellar trade are no Agricultural (Ag) worlds, no Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, no Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, no Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, no Rich (Ri) worlds, and one Industrial (In) world. The governments in the Third Imperium, Domain of Deneb maintain one Naval base within the subsector.

The Third Imperium, Domain of Deneb has an estimated population of 20 billion within the subsector, distributed across one High population (Hi) world, no Moderate population (Ph) worlds, one Non-industrial (Ni) world, one Low population (Lo) world, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Albe (Trojan Reach 2211). The population consists primarily of 1 sophont group.

History & Background (Dossier)

The Sindal subsector derives its name from the Sindalian Empire, a government that controlled most of the area during the Long Night. The Sindalian Emperors always ruled with an iron fist, and grew increasingly despotic as the years progressed. This came to a head during a 50 year civil war, which ultimately saw Sindal itself devastated by bacterial warfare. Literally driven back to the stone age by this turn of events, the world is now known as Noricum and has re-advanced to a tech level of 1. The Empire's successor only lasted 12 years before it too collapsed. [1]
