Cordillon is a poor, low-population world with a population of less than 10,000 sophonts.
- This poor world is struggling to establish itself and living conditions in many areas are rudimentary.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Sindal Subsector of Trojan Reach Sector in the Domain of Deneb.

Description (Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
System Data[edit]
The system's largest gas giant is Hoard, a super jovian with roughly four times the mass of Jupiter. Its immense gravitational pull and magnetic field make it dangerous for wilderness refuelling.
The system's two planetoid belts are being dredged for iceballs to drop on Cordillon as part of the terraforming process. Increased traffic in these zones has attracted a fledgling belter community.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Cordillon is a Meso World between 5,600km and 7,200km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.32G and 0.46G. The horizon will appear about 3.6km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Cordillon has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Cordillon has 05-15% of its surface covered by liquid water or ice. Wilderness refueling will be difficult. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are Hell Worlds or Poor Worlds depending on their atmosphere.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Cordillon (alternate spelling: Cordillion) is a poor, low-population world. It is currently subject to significant terraforming by nearby Albe (Trojan Reach 2211).
Cordillion is a small empty world on the fringe of the Imperium. Until recently it was deemed unnecessary and unsuitable for colonization and remained uninhabited. However, in the neighboring system of Albe, population pressures have caused famine, crime, and over-crowding to became unmanageable. To help solve the problem, Albe's government has commissioned Shape of Earth, LIC to terraform Cordillon and make it suitable for colonization, thus relieving Albe of its population problems.[2]
In the three years since the terraforming project began, Cordillon has gained a very thin atmosphere and 10% hydrographics. Its rotational velocity has been increased to 43 hours, and its newly built-up electromagnetic field now filters out a large percentage of its sun's harmful radiation. Because its spin is still relatively slow however, the planet's temperature changes from a warm 30°C during the day to an icy -40°C at night. As yet there is no plant or animal life on Cordillon and most of its surface is still a rocky wasteland.[2]
World Starport (Sp)[edit]
Cordillon has a Class C Starport, an average quality installation which features amenities including unrefined fuel for starships, some brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing maintenance and other kinds of repair. Ports of this classification generally have only a downport, unless this is a trade port or system with an hostile environment mainworld.
- Five bases have been set up on the planet's surface to monitor the asteroid falls and operate the starport. They control the terraforming operation and maintain facilities for the asteroid movers. The world's main starport is type C, and is located at Base 1. The other four bases have starports of type D.[2]
