Spring is a high-population, industrial world with a billion or more sophonts in population size.
- As an industrial world, this planet has well-developed manufacturing and processing industries. Manufactured goods are a major export item.
- Its economy is rapidly growing and living conditions are expected to rapidly improve barring outside forces.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Ilelish Subsector of Ilelish Sector in the Domain of Ilelish.
- 60% of the population consists of Suerrat.
- This world is directly administered by Shudiikii.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Spring has a solitary primary star.
- It is a red main sequence.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x10 secondary rocky worlds.
- x2 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Spring is a Meso World between 8,800km and 10,400km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.6G and 0.8G. The horizon will appear about 4.4km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Spring has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. While a Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Spring has 45-55% of its surface covered by liquid water. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly dry world.)
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Llelish Interstellar, the leading media corporation within Ilelish Sector, maintains facilities and offices on the world.
The Regional Criminal Police Organisation, a Police Force active within the Suerrat Cultural Region, has its headquarters on Spring.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Spring has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Spring has a population of 1,000,000,000 sophonts (billions).
- High Population Worlds like this tend to have huge consumer markets.
- Around 600 million Suerrat (making up about 60% of the population) reside on the world.
Linguistic Topography[edit]
The following languages are most typically heard:
- Anglic: One of the two official languages of the Imperium.
- Na'ans: The most widely spoken Suerrat language.
- Vilani: One of the two official languages of the Imperium.
- Yaudal: A commonly spoken Suerrat language.
Urbanization[edit]
Some local cities are Suerrat-majority. These are very crowded. Suerrat populations are at a density where other species find the mental health of the inhabitants deteriorates; by contrast, Suerrat thrive in these conditions.
- Suerrat like natural surroundings and will incorporate vegetation and even small animals into their urban areas, wherever possible.
- Transport is relegated to the lower levels of Suerrat cities. Where gravitics are unavailable, ground vehicles prevail. Roads are built intertwining between trees and below foot traffic.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Spring possesses a Technology Level of TL–10 or TL-A in Hexadecimal Notation.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Holovision, Personal Global Communications, and advanced Translators.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Increasingly advanced fusion plants and advanced fuel cells.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land & Water: Grav belts and maturing gravcraft.
- Air: Greatly improved hybrid grav-aircraft.
- Space: Improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
- FTL: Jump Drive-1.
World Government (G)[edit]
Spring has a Captive Government or Colony. The world is ruled by an external government, there is no self-rule. This is a colony or conquered area. The local government is an oligarchy appointed by, and answerable only to, the external government.
Spring is also part of the Suerrat Cultural Region. The Suerrat United Worlds Council is funded through payments of all member worlds, calculated based on each world's population and economic wealth; it also receives voluntary donations from large organisations and businesses, both within and without the cultural zone.
Military[edit]
For peacekeeping purposes, the Suerrat United Worlds Council can request troops and vessels volunteered from member worlds to be deployed under its purview, but only within the boundaries of the Suerrat Cultural Region.
World Law (L)[edit]
Spring has a moderate law level with laws covering many areas of government and interaction. These laws are simple enough that most people can act as their own advocate, though for serious issues a professional is recommended. Law enforcement officials will be present, but not in great numbers. All firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
Imperial High & Landed Nobility[edit]
Spring, as a member world of the Third Imperium, holds the estate of an Imperial Landed Knight who acts as an Imperial representative to the world, and the fiefdoms of two members of the Imperial Landed Nobility, who oversee affairs regarding the world at an Interstellar and Imperial level.
