Description (Specifications)[edit]
A Police Force is an institution established by a state to enforce all or part of that state's Law.
Certain Imperial Ministries maintain investigative forces that provide Investigators to other Police Forces or for their own purposes. The Imperial armed forces also maintain their own forces (See below).
Each police force will have a specific jurisdiction within which it may enforce the law. This jurisdiction may be territorial or a limit on the types of law that are within it's scope. e.g. a force may only investigate Imperial Law or may only investigate Local Law or Imperial Law violations on a single World.
Members of a Police Force are Police Officers.
Specific police forces may be called Bureau of Investigation, Gendarmerie, Mounted Police, Civil Guard or Public Security Force
