The Goertel Subsector, like many others of the Trojan Reach, is named after the first world colonized there, an outpost of the ancient Sindalian Empire.

  • It is one of only two human worlds in the subsector: the rest are either claimed by the Aslan Hierate or are part of the Glorious Empire.
  • During the Rebellion, all of the worlds of the Goertel subsector fall to the invading Aslan ihatei.

Subsector Summary: 1116[edit]

Goertel, subsector J of Trojan Reach, contains 28 worlds with an estimated combined population of 24 billion, a per capita income of Cr7,474, and a total economy of BCr183,092. These worlds originate an interstellar trade of BCr907 through 26 starports (3 Class A, 18 Class B, 3 Class C, 2 Class D) employing 214,600 people. Driving this interstellar trade are three Agricultural (Ag) worlds, six Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, two Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, four Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, three Rich (Ri) worlds, and two Industrial (In) worlds. The governments in Goertel maintain 11 Clan bases and two Tlaukhu bases. The average technology level is 10 (with most between 6 and 13). The highest technology level is 14 at Ehrafou (Trojan Reach 0930), Htourlao (Trojan Reach 1028), and Hliyh (Trojan Reach 1323).

Goertel, subsector J of Trojan Reach, contains 41 stars and 323 identified planets; 16 monostellar systems, 11 binary systems, one trinary system, and no systems with four or more stars. 25 of the 28 systems (89%) have native gas giants. There are one Asteroid (As) belt, five Desert (De) worlds, one Garden (Ga) world, two Ice-capped (Ic) worlds, seven Poor (Po) worlds, five Vacuum (Va) worlds, and three Water (Wa) or Ocean (Oc) worlds.

Goertel has an estimated population of 24 billion distributed across three High population (Hi) worlds, four Moderate population (Ph) worlds, 11 Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, seven Low population (Lo) worlds, and one Barren (Ba) world. The highest population world is Hliyh (Trojan Reach 1323). The population consists primarily of 2 sophont groups.

Aslan Hierate[edit]

The Aslan Hierate has jurisdiction over 14 worlds in the subsector with an estimated combined population of 18.5 billion. These worlds originate an interstellar trade through 13 starports (0 Class A, 10 Class B, 2 Class C, 1 Class D). Driving this interstellar trade are two Agricultural (Ag) worlds, three Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, no Pre-Agricultural (Pa) worlds, two Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, no Rich (Ri) worlds, and one Industrial (In) world. The governments in the Aslan Hierate maintain 5 Clan bases and two Tlaukhu bases within the subsector. The average technology level is 10 (with most between 7 and 13). The highest technology level is 14 at Ehrafou (Trojan Reach 0930) and Hliyh (Trojan Reach 1323).

The Aslan Hierate has an estimated population of 18.5 billion within the subsector, distributed across two High population (Hi) worlds, one Moderate population (Ph) world, six Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, three Low population (Lo) worlds, and one Barren (Ba) world. The highest population world is Hliyh (Trojan Reach 1323). The population consists primarily of 2 sophont groups.

Glorious Empire[edit]

The Glorious Empire has jurisdiction over 12 worlds in the subsector with an estimated combined population of 5.5 billion. These worlds originate an interstellar trade through 11 starports (2 Class A, 7 Class B, 1 Class C, 1 Class D). Driving this interstellar trade are one Agricultural (Ag) world, two Non-Agricultural (Na) worlds, one Pre-Agricultural (Pa) world, two Pre-Industrial (Pi) worlds, two Rich (Ri) worlds, and one Industrial (In) world. The governments in the Glorious Empire maintain 6 Clan bases within the subsector. The average technology level is 10 (with most between 7 and 13). The highest technology level is 14 at Htourlao (Trojan Reach 1028).

The Glorious Empire has an estimated population of 5.5 billion within the subsector, distributed across one High population (Hi) world, two Moderate population (Ph) worlds, four Non-industrial (Ni) worlds, four Low population (Lo) worlds, and no Barren (Ba) worlds. The highest population world is Htourlao (Trojan Reach 1028). The population consists primarily of 2 sophont groups.

Non-Aligned, Human-dominated[edit]

There are two Non-Aligned Human-dominated worlds in Goertel with an estimated combined population of 100 million.
