Solomani Confederation Restricted Zone
The Solomani Confederation Restricted Zone is an astropolitical region lying across the border between Aldebaran Sector and Neworld Sector.
- It is technically a trade route, though only military supply vessels carry cargo within the area.
- Travel to this region is prohibited.
- It is also known as the Restricted Zone.
Description / Specifications[edit]
The Solomani Confederation Restricted Zone consists of the six worlds of the Coilin Trace.
- It is controlled by the Solomani Confederation military.
The star systems of the region serve as training areas, military ranges, depots, and storage facilities. Many of the planets and moons within those systems bear the scars of orbital bombardments and are littered with simulated battlefields. Some systems contain large numbers of mothballed starships, and drifting derelicts and wrecks that serve as practice targets.
- Many systems contain unexploded ordnance, both in space and on planetary surfaces.
Rift Regions[edit]
The Restricted Zone lies directly to coreward of the Gulf of Asphodel, a large rift region.
- The Gulf is widely believed to contain a number of rogue worlds.
- Rumors persist that the Confederation military has exact coordinates for these and utilizes them in its ongoing operations.
- SolSec discourages talk of such things.
Government & Politics (Leadership)[edit]
The Restricted Zone functions as a semi-autonomous self-governing region of the Solomani Confederation.
- All of its member worlds are under military rule.

Ostensibly, the area is primarily a restricted military zone used for training and equipment storage. It serves as the operational base for a number of secretive Solomani special forces units and it has long been rumored to be a center for Black Ops, Psychological Operations, or Psi Ops. Stories persist about other clandestine activities within the region, including its use as a holding area for detainees and political undesirables, or that strange highly advanced technological devices created by some long dead alien civilization are being tested and reproduced.
- SolSec does not look favorably upon this kind of speculation and loose talk.
Solomani Security keeps a very close eye on things within the Restricted Zone to ensure the security of the Solomani State and the well-being of its loyal citizens. Almost anyone could be a SolSec informant, passing on all sorts of useful information: some gain a reward or benefit for their actions, but many see it as an act of duty to help protect the the State and its interests.
