Kuzoevo is a high-population, industrial world with a billion or more sophonts in population size.
- As an industrial world, this planet has well-developed manufacturing and processing industries. Manufactured goods are a major export item.
- Its economy is rapidly growing and living conditions are expected to rapidly improve barring outside forces.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by Vargr sophonts located in the Gvineks Subsector of Gzaekfueg Sector.
- This is a temperate world, with a climate of pleasant, average temperatures, considered to be an ideal or near-ideal environment by many different sophont species.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Kuzoevo has a solitary primary star.
- It is an orange main sequence named Goldbloom.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x4 secondary rocky worlds.
- x3 gas giants.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Kuzoevo is a Meso World between 5,600km and 7,200km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.32G and 0.46G. The horizon will appear about 3.6km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Kuzoevo has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Respirator Combination Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Kuzoevo has 55-65% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly watery world.)
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Centuries after Gvineks Subsector was colonized by the Urzaeng and other sub-species of Vargr, Kuzoevo's technological advancement has slid from TL–10 to a spacefaring TL–8. It is still able to take advantage of its in-system resources as its Population grew from hundreds of millions to billions, the benchmark of a high-population world. With such long awaited growth came the attendant Industrial (In) Trade Classification that many locals hoped would attract the attention of the Ruler of Five or the Glorious Sons of Raek. But since the world and its stellar cluster were bypassed, it has become Balkanized along major corporate sector lines who bailed out the failed gamble Government with new Factions seeking means to re-brand the world and its value to the interstellar community.
Under the fading, pale yellow-white light of its F8 main sequence primary, Kuzoevo is a mainworld featuring the trappings of capitalism and a detached asceticism couched in the realm of a comfortably recluse TL-8 society. This world and by extension three world cluster in coreward Gzaekfueg have been politely snubbed for annexation by both the Ruler of Five confederation and the Glorious Sons of Raek hegemony.
Declining Tech Levels on Kuzoevo have preserved the personal Compressor allowing the Vargr citizens to breathe the Very Thin air. Filtration was added in the decades as pollution from the rising Population and new Industrial Classification. A recent adaptation is the Combination Filter-Respirator-8 or Combination-8 used in both compressing the air and filtering pollution. A more advanced Combination-10, imported from Ghoutson (Kharrthon 1139), is being tested locally and may replace the TL-8 Combination soon, as early as 1106.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Verdant Fields Downport has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.
World Population (P)[edit]
Kuzoevo has a population of 1,000,000,000 sophonts (billions).
- High Population Worlds like this tend to have huge consumer markets.
- The population entirely consists of Vargr.
Urzaeng Vargr, with visiting Ovaghoun and Suedzuk, comprise the majority of the population.
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Kuzoevo possesses a Technology Level of TL–8.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics, improved telephones, and satellite communication and data networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Improved geothermal and improved batteries.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Advanced automobiles.
- Water: Triphibians and early artificial gills.
- Air: Improved helicopters and hypersonic jets.
- Space: Space shuttles, early space stations, and improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
World Government (G)[edit]
Kuzoevo has a Balkanized Government. There is no central world government. The world has several governments competing for control of the world. These may be allies, cooperating, competitors, or at war with each other.
World Law (L)[edit]
Kuzoevo has a high law level with laws covering many areas of interactions of people, corporations, and the government. A few worlds with this law level may be Amber Zones. Any interaction with the judicial system requires an Advocate trained in the local legal system. Law enforcement is present almost everywhere, either as people or via technology. Legal proceedings can take weeks to months to resolve and involve a dozen or more people. All blade weapons and firearms, and anything more destructive, are typically regulated or prohibited.
With a plethora of weaponry, Kuzoevo has been forced to instill a Law Level of 8.
Trade Data[edit]
- Importance: 0 (unimportant)
Kuzoevo produces 1728 Resource Units (termed RU, or aryu).
World Economy[edit]
- Resources: A (abundant)
- Labor: 8 (hundreds of millions)
- Infrastructure: 7 (generally available)
- Efficiency: -1 (average)
World Culture[edit]
- Heterogenity: C (fragmented)
- Acceptance: 7 (aloof)
- Strangeness: 4 (somewhat distinct)
- Symbols: 8 (somewhat abstract)
Urzaeng is the official language, though many Vargr here are taught Ovaghoun, Suedzuk, Anglic or Logaksu.
The Urzaeng Vargr on Kuzoevo, generally peaceful and reserved, have had to adopt the cut-throat mercantile attitudes of the Logaksu who departed Gzaekfueg Sector, restricting their expansion to the borders of Fa Dzaets Sector. Urzaeng Capitalism is still developing.

Later Historical Eras[edit]
- 1128: four years into regaining sanity from the Empress Wave, with no interstellar arrivals, Kuzoevo silences its Starport E beacon and turns inward at the behest of the Monastery of the Awakened Mind beginning a short twelve years of development of the mental disciplines, infighting martial arts and Rage Focus exercises. This would later save them from an exploratory, Vampire scout vessel from Ksikhsoloug (Gzaekfueg 0601) in 1140.
- circa 1200: Kuzoevo, curious about the fate of Gvineks Subsector, rises to A-Downport and Tech Level 9 to launch an Early Stage, interstellar probe toward Urzokhurz.
The Awakened Mind[edit]
Kuzoevo is home to one of only four known and active Psionic Institutes to be found in Gzaekfueg Sector.
Kuzoevo Monastery of the Awakened Mind - Because male Urzaeng Vargr have a greater capacity for the Talent of Rage (Rage-5 for males, Rage-2 for females), the majority of students attending this Psionic Institute are female Vargr. The goal of the Monastery of the Awakened Mind is to find middle ground or synthesis between the racial Talent, physical martial arts and the mental powers of psionics. For the Urzaeng, this is a herculean endeavor as they are not known for their mental acumen when compared to other sub-species of Vargr. Yet, there is a peaceful serenity ambience at the Monastery on Kuzoevo. Masters of Rage Focus, Claw Art (Infighting) and Psionics struggle to find a proper meld to maximize the gifts they believe the Ancients have bestowed upon the Vargr. While the Monastery focuses upon the Rage of the Urzaeng, Ovaghoun Rage is welcome to Kuzoevo to seek the same balance. Else, other Vargr sub-species are invited to attend the classes, if only to be tested and trained in a Stage of psionic unfoldment minus the advanced classes which feature Rage Focus. Claw Art is similarly an elective class if the initiate has not already learned the natural weaponry skills all Vargr are given in early cub years. These three corners of the body, emotion and mind triangle, (an inverted triangle symbol displayed on placards and banners at the Monastery), are separate classes offered to Urzaeng and the tuition of each as well as the advanced, melding classes keep the Monastery funded and in good upkeep.
Rage Focus, Claw Art and Psionics testing costs Cr5000 each for applicants to the Monastery of the Awakened Mind and continued training can take a year with Cr10,000 charged per year. Students must house and feed themselves and are expected to police and maintain the Monastery grounds alongside the masters. Tuition may be waived by high-Charisma Urzaeng (only) who test very high in Psi (CP) in hopes that the new savant will prove to promote the reputation of the Institute.
Due to the professionalism, almost religious detachment and yet passionate devotion to the Urzaeng condition, the Monastery of the Awakened Mind holds the highest ranking Institution (12) in Gzaekfueg Sector. This kind of fame is also seen as negative notoriety to worlds wishing to bar psionics from use, especially from the mercantile venues through the subsectors. Just as the Monastery enjoys its draw of income, there are protests from Urzaeng racial purity groups. These political action committees seek to keep the Rage Talent ‘pure’ and separate from the mental disciplines of psionics and to keep psionics away from martial arts of Vargr Infighting. These groups seek to keep each separate and untainted by the other two. The monks see these groups as angry, Vargr wash-outs who tested too low for psionics and cannot easily meld the three facets what the Monastery has to offer. Psions stepping from the Downport can expect some small mobs to loudly bark their unhappiness at the synthesis occurring on the mountain home of the Monastery. Though the Monastery does not hold itself as a spiritual center or religion, many Vargr mistake it for such. Conversely, due to the healthy respect given to the monks and graduates from this Psionic Institution, the Monastery is not taxed so long as it holds its members from lobbying and interfering with politics or the business sector.
Disallowed at the Monastery but still featured downslope at the mainworld Downport are the psionic technologies and pharmacopeia offered to visiting psions from off-world who come to ascend the steps to the Monastery of the Awakened Mind. The monks there shun such mercantile opportunism, but recognize the free will of off-worlders seeking testing or further Stage training. Psionic equipment sales are a blossoming market as more Vargr arrive with the Monastery on their online searches through the Kusoevo planetary network.
Graduates of the Kuzoevo Monastery of the Awakened Mind often go on to become serene if dangerous members of Agent Career, specifically in the realm of diplomatic Emissaries. They are valued for their self-control, mental development, extreme patience and the ability to disarm tensions at the negotiating table. Many find work inside the Ruler of Five polity even as the confederation steps lightly around the topic of psionics use in such situations. Monks and Stage Five psions are given fitted robes to wear as a Charismatic status symbol of their mastery of Rage Focus, Claw Art and Psionics. A wearer of such a robe has an instantaneous Fame-10 (World) when worn in public, especially those worlds with TL 8 or more UWP. Many encountering such a graduate, monk or not, tend to don Psi-shield headgear if they own such. This is not seen as insult by the monks as they are well instructed as to the outside world’s suspicions and fears of such adept mastery of body, emotions and mind.
Master Dhinggzen[edit]
As of 1105, the current Psion Master of the Kuzoevo Monastery of the Awakened Mind is Master Dhinggzen, female Urzaeng (age 50) Scholar of 5 terms, 4 Publications (Discourses) with Tenure, and a Diplomatic Functionary of 2 terms (Senior Supervisor rank), UPP: 9AA8B9-AA. Master Dhinggzen has eschewed the public life and a few male suitors in favor of an ascetic lifestyle at the Monastery. She does charge for her Emissary services but requires concerned parties come upslope to the Monastery to meeting rooms rented by those groups concerned. Dhinggzen has acted as mediator between corporate entities, Kusoevo world Factions, off-world Governments and once was mediator between the Ruler of Five and the Glorious Sons of Raek.
