Izh Kriezhlal Subsector is subsector O of Yiklerzdanzh Sector.
- It lies within Charted Space.
- It falls within the Zhodani Shadow.
Description / Specifications[edit]
Izh Kriezhlal Subsector is a region of Balkanized Space. The Vlazhdumecta people from the Izrats Kriezhlas Unity and the Droyne both have significant holdings within the region.
- The resources of the subsector are being exploited.
Astrographic Features & Trade Routes[edit]
The following astrographic and commercial data has been determined regarding Izh Kriezhlal Subsector:
- The subsector is an average stellar density region.
- The brightest star is the red bright giant primary of the Sashero system.
- It contains the coreward terminus of the Fulani Main.
Stellar Distribution[edit]
A basic map showing the distribution and size of stars within Izh Kriezhlal Subsector, right:
- The color corresponds to the visible color of the star, which links to its spectral classification.
- The size as shown indicates both the physical size of the object and its relative brightness.
Note that the stars as depicted are representative. Any star, no matter what its size, is a mere speck within the hex it occupies.
- Ordinary main sequence stars can barely be seen from even a hex away.
- Huge, intensely luminous giant stars can be seen from across the subsector and far beyond.
Borealis Group[edit]
The Borealis Group can be seen as a bright, dense, noticeable grouping of stars in the skies to Spinward-rimward.
- It is a huge cluster of stars centered on the supergiant Theta Borealis.
- It is a distinctive astrographic feature that can be observed from all across Charted Space.
The Borealis Group contains significant amounts of gas and dust that reflects and refracts the light of the stars, giving it an ethereal glow.
The Fulani Main[edit]
A few systems on the rimward edge of the subsector lie on the Fulani Main.
- The majority of the Main lies within Fulani Sector.
- Its trailing parts extend into Far Frontiers Sector and the Vanguard Reaches.
A basic chart of the Fulani Main is shown, right:
- Worlds on the Main are marked in green.
The Hammer Cluster[edit]
The Hammer Cluster is a small cluster of worlds straddling the border between Stellar Chorus Subsector, Wyld Worlds Subsector, Dlarashtsalash Subsector, and Izh Kriezhlal Subsector.
- It contains 11 systems, 5 of which are barren and remain unclaimed.
- An additional secondary world in the Fafrekolefransh system is also detailed.
- It is named for the extremely luminous red bright giant star of the Hammer system.
- It lies between the Izrats Kriezhlas Unity and the Carillon Harmonies.
The Izrats Kriezhlas Unity has turned its eyes towards the worlds of the Cluster with a view to future settlement -- two of the cluster's worlds have been established as Unity client states. The Carillon Harmonies have similar regional interests, which has increasingly brought them into conflict with the Vlazhdumecta. The Droyne enclave on Soyayt, on the trailing edge of the cluster, resents this increasing intrusion into their solitude.
- Military vessels from each interest patrol the cluster's systems.
World Listing[edit]
Comprehensive Second Survey data for all worlds lying within Izh Kriezhlal subsector is available.
- The primary source material for all data is Traveller Map. However, note that some of this data is incorrect or out of date.
- World articles may have slightly different data: some elements of the data contained within articles has been updated.
- Data is occasionally updated as new information becomes available.
AAB library archives contain expanded data about the following systems:
Verified updated data is constantly sought.
- Scouting missions gathering reliable, verified data can receive substantial payment.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The subsector is a frontier region, lying close to the edge of settled space and containing a number of barren worlds. It is the heartland of the Izrats Kriezhlas Unity, the only extant Vlazhdumecta interstellar state.
The Unity has turned its eyes towards the largely empty worlds of the Hammer Cluster, with a view to future settlement: Tliebrenzh, one of the cluster's rimward worlds, has been established as a Unity client state. The Carillon Harmonies have similar regional interests, which has increasingly brought them into conflict with the Vlazhdumecta. The Droyne enclave on Soyayt resents this increasing intrusion into their solitude.
Tlatianim-class 3,000 ton Merchant Cruisers operate within this subsector, used by the Great Houses of the Izrats Kriezhlas to carry trade goods.
