Frikriyip is a poor, nonindustrial desert world with no free-standing water.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- It is a Non-Aligned world dominated by human sophonts located in the Izh Kriezhlal Subsector of Yiklerzdanzh Sector.
- It orbits the secondary star.
- This is a hot world, with a climate of high temperatures.
- This dangerous world is designated an Amber Zone with an environment, laws, customs, life forms, or other conditions that make it dangerous to visitors.
- This world-system has a Naval Base, usually associated with military starships, which may be located on or off-world.
- This world-system has a Military Base, usually associated with military ground forces, which may be located on or off-world.
- This is a "Reserve World" with restricted access, either to protect the indigenous lifeforms, to protect available resources, preserve pristine and idyllic real estate, or other reasons.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Frikriyip is a binary star system.
- The primary is a turbulent white giant named Chveriz.
- The secondary is a red main sequence.

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been partially surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld, orbiting the secondary star.
- An unknown number of secondary rocky worlds.
- x5 planetoid belts.
- x1 gas giant.
Mainworld Data[edit]
The secondary star orbits within the primary star's Habitable Zone.
- It lies within the zone's prime H region.
The mainworld orbits the secondary star within its Habitable Zone.
- It lies within the zone's outer H- region.
- Frikriyip receives the combined energy output of both stars.
- The world orbits beyond the Jump Shadow of both stars.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Frikriyip is a Meso World between 5,600km and 7,200km in diameter. The world has low gravity between 0.32G and 0.46G. The horizon will appear about 3.6km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Frikriyip has a pressure of 0.10 to 0.42 atmospheres. The very thin pressures require a respirator or Oxygen Mask. TL–5 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
- It experiences high temperatures.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Frikriyip has no free-standing water or ice on the surface. Wilderness refueling isn't possible on this world. Water for the inhabitants needs to be imported and extensively recycled. These worlds are classified Desert World or a Hell World depending on their atmosphere.
Satellites[edit]
Frikriyip retains two tiny planetoid moons.
- They orbit once every few hours.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly dry world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Abundant native life occupying every available ecological niche. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
- Native lifeforms are thermophilic - they thrive in high temperatures and arid conditions.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
Frikriyip is a Danger World and is designated as an Amber Zone. It presents particular risks and dangers due to the environment or native life forms, laws or customs, or other conditions that are not well understood.
- Visitors are advised to act with caution.
This is a Reserve World with restricted access to protect the indigenous lifeforms and available resources.
It hosts a research station examining a native lifeform - a number of surprising discoveries have been made.
The primary star causes interference, strange tones and noises, and heavy static on commo and sensors.
World Starport (St)[edit]
Frikriyip has a Class E Starport, a frontier quality installation with few expected amenities. There is unrefined fuel for starships and a limited variety of ship provisions. There is no shipyard of any kind, but there may be parts and technical support for doing minor services and repair. Ports of this classification generally consist of a downport.
- The world is host to a Zhodani Naval Base.
- The world is host to a major Military Base.
Special facilities, rated as a Class A Starport, exist as part of the Zhodani naval base. These are not available to passing traffic.
World Population (P)[edit]
Frikriyip has population of 100 sophonts (hundreds).
- This is a Low Population World and the population would be too low to sustain itself without moderate outside assistance. This may represent a large transient population such as the crew of a fleet of starships, the dwindling remnants of a dying colony, a construction team building a new colony, or an outpost that could evolve into a colony.
- The population are mostly Vlazhdumecta humans.
- A few Zhodani, mostly naval personnel, may occasionally be encountered.
Linguistic Topography[edit]
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Frikriyip possesses a Technology Level of TL–8.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics, improved telephones, and satellite communication and data networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Improved geothermal and improved batteries.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Advanced automobiles.
- Water: Triphibians and early artificial gills.
- Air: Improved helicopters and hypersonic jets.
- Space: Space shuttles, early space stations, and improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
World Government (G)[edit]
Frikriyip is governed by a Corporate Polity, having a single corporation with a typical corporate structure as a government. Essentially, this is a "company town" (or world). The typical corporate-run world usually has a single purpose. Examples include mining, agriculture, or other kinds of resource extraction. But rather than a simple base of operations, there are facilities for housing workers and their families, including hospitals, schools, and other infrastructure. How, or if, the children of the workers are incorporated into the workforce varies with companies. The corporation running the world may be a subsidiary of a larger interstellar corporation.
World Law (L)[edit]
Frikriyip has no law in practice. It is an Anarchy. On many worlds, this by itself justifies an Amber Zone advisory. There are few laws, covering only important areas. There may be few or no law enforcement officers, the expectation is citizens will bring law breakers to the attention of the Judicial system. Legal proceedings will be fast, with few people involved. For interactions outside of the framework of the laws, cultural norms dominate.
World Culture[edit]
The world lies within the Zhodani Shadow, a region strongly influenced by the society and culture of the Zhodani Consulate.
