Chedraz does not meet the criteria for any standard classification.
- It is a member of the Izrats Kriezhlas Unity in the Izh Kriezhlal Subsector of Yiklerzdanzh Sector.
- It is a balmy tropical world, with a climate of high temperatures.
- This world has an Interface Base, with similarities to a Scout Base, but also functioning as a Trade Base and Customs Facility.
- This world controls Zhdamonzhdranj.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Chedraz is a trinary star system.
- The primary is a turbulent orange giant named Shardrazhar
- The secondary is a white dwarf stellar remnant named Ched-B.
- The tertiary is a white dwarf stellar remnant Ched-C.
Chedraz has three stars in the star system. Shardrazhar

System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been partially surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- An unknown number of secondary rocky worlds.
- x2 planetoid belts.
Mainworld Data[edit]
The mainworld orbits within the star's Habitable Zone.
- It lies within the zone's warmer inner H+ region
- It receives higher levels of stellar energy.
- The world orbits within the star's Jump Shadow.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Chedraz is a Meso World between 10,400km and 12,000km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.7G and 0.9G. The horizon will appear about 4.7km away.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
Chedraz has a pressure of 0.71 to 1.49 atmospheres. A Standard Atmosphere does not require survival gear and will likely be easy for most sophonts to breathe.
- It experiences high temperatures.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
Chedraz has 65-75% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.
- The seas are shrouded in fogs, mists, hazes, and steam.
Satellites[edit]
Chedraz retains two small vacuum moons.
- They orbit once every few weeks.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly watery world.)
Native Lifeforms[edit]
Primitive native life occupying a number of ecological niches. Its metabolic functions drive the process of atmospheric renewal.
- Native lifeforms are thermophilic - they thrive in high temperatures.
History & Background (Dossier)[edit]
The primary star causes intense interference, strange tones and noises, and heavy static on commo and sensors.
Chedraz was on the verge of extinction after the initial collapse of the Vlazhdumecta realm, due to difficulties in coping with the temperature extremes and certain native lifeforms. Only after Zhodani recontact were the problems solved, and the population has had a high regard for the Zhodani ever since. The population still believes that the Izrats Kriezhlas Unity should remain a Zhodani client state and considered seceding from the Unity to be part of the Zhodani Consulate (in the end, practicalities led to a decision to remain part of the Unity).
World Starport (St)[edit]
Chedraz has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- The world is host to an Interface Base, with similarities to a Scout Base, but also functioning as a Trade Base and Customs Facility.
World Population (P)[edit]
Chedraz has a population of 900,000,000 sophonts (hundreds of millions).
- The population primarily consists of Vlazhdumecta humans.
- The high regard for the Zhodani has led to this world being popular for Zhodani settlement, and so there are twice as many racial Zhodani here as elsewhere in the Unity.
Linguistic Topography[edit]
The most widely spoken language is Vlazhdumecta.
- Most individuals know a few words and phrases of Zdetl.
Urbanization[edit]
Settled areas on a Vlazhdumecta world will feature Kishik ("Places of Contemplation"), used for quiet experience of the sublime. Most settlements have a variety of such places, whether constructed (the equivalent of Solomani churches and monasteries) or natural (e.g. preserved beauty spots).
World Technology Level (T)[edit]
Chedraz possesses a Technology Level of TL–8.
- Common Communication technologies for this TL include: Fiber optics, improved telephones, and satellite communication and data networks.
- Common Power Generation technologies for this TL include: Improved geothermal and improved batteries.
- Common Transportation technologies for this TL include:
- Land: Advanced automobiles.
- Water: Triphibians and early artificial gills.
- Air: Improved helicopters and hypersonic jets.
- Space: Space shuttles, early space stations, and improved interplanetary spacecraft (System Craft).
World Government (G)[edit]
Chedraz is governed by a Charismatic Oligarchy, like a charismatic dictatorship in that a larger group has asserted their right to rule. The group will likely have better rules of succession than a single dictator and may last longer, or may transition to a non-charismatic dictatorship.
World Law (L)[edit]
Chedraz has a high law level with laws covering many areas of interactions of people, corporations, and the government. A few worlds with this law level may be Amber Zones. Any interaction with the judicial system requires an Advocate trained in the local legal system. Law enforcement is present almost everywhere, either as people or via technology. Legal proceedings can take weeks to months to resolve and involve a dozen or more people. All objects specifically manufactured as weapons are typically regulated or prohibited (outside private residences or visiting starships).
World Culture[edit]
The world lies within the Zhodani Shadow, a region strongly influenced by the society and culture of the Zhodani Consulate.
