Leyins is a ring of many small worldlets (planetoids AKA an "asteroid belt"), not capable of retaining an atmosphere or water, and barren in nature with no overt population, government, or law level.
- These worldlets would warrant hazardous environment precautions if anyone lived here.
- They could be populated if anyone had an inclination to do so...
- It is an unclaimed Non-Aligned world located in the Izh Kriezhlal Subsector of Yiklerzdanzh Sector.
- Asteroid belts have no climate, but experience extreme differences in temperature between direct starlight and shade.
Description (Astrography & Planetology)[edit]
Stellar Data[edit]
Leyins is a binary star system.
- Both are red main sequence stars.
System Data[edit]
The worlds of the system have been partially surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- An unknown number of secondary rocky worlds.
Mainworld Data[edit]
Leyins is an Asteroid Belt mainworld.
The belt orbits within the star's Habitable Zone.
- It lies within the zones colder outer H- region.
- It receives lower levels of stellar energy.
- The belt orbits beyond the stars Jump Shadows.
Mainworld Size (S)[edit]
Leyins is an Asteroid Belt consisting of a few very large objects with diameters of hundreds of kilometers, thousands of bodies of a few kilometers in diameter, and millions of smaller objects.
- Asteroid Belt is the belt when it is the mainworld of a system.
- Planetoid Belt refers to any non-mainworld belt within a system.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)[edit]
None of the bodies within the Leyins belt retain an atmosphere.
- The belt is in vacuum conditions, requiring the use of a Vacc Suit.
- TL–8 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)[edit]
The Leyins belt contains a few icy bodies. A few belt objects have frozen volatiles on their surfaces.
- Wilderness refueling is possible within the belt, provided a suitable icy object can be found.
- Water for the inhabitants is generally imported and is extensively recycled.
Mainworld Geography and Topography[edit]
No centrally held chart of the belt exists within AAB Library Data records.
- Locally, detailed maps may be available.
- Verified updated charts are constantly sought.
- Detailed survey data commands premium prices.
