The Capella Subsector, Subsector N of the Solomani Rim Sector, is named for the bright quadruple star system Capella, consisting of two yellow giants and two red dwarfs in close proximity, the sixth brightest star in Terra's night sky.

Capella contains the Near Boötes Cluster, twelve habitable worlds within three parsecs of Vantage. The unusually rich group was settled immediately upon discovery, early in the history of the Rule of Man. The Near Boötes Cluster dominates the adjacent subsectors of the Solomani Confederation, both economically and politically. Boötean mercantile interests have considerable power in the Solomani Party and the Solomani government.
- The environment of Vantage is unique. Its atmosphere, too thick for humans near the surface, is breathable at high altitudes. Unlike Banasdan's Altiplano (Solomani Rim 3017), Vantage has no mountains, and the population lives almost entirely in the air, in cities supported by grav generators.
