The Diadem Trade Council was first established at Baixing in 984. The Council met every standard year at Baixing, accomplishing little from a policy standpoint.
The growing power of the Hyperion League led to renewed interest in at least discussing a more coordinated trade effort. The resulting Conference of Baixing in 1054 led to the formation of the Diadem Trade League.
There was little in this subsector to excite or attract. While a number of industrial worlds did emerge, they were considered to be unfortunate accidents rather than deliberate development. All of this changed with the arrival of Aslan Ihatei in the neighboring Old Colonies subsector, just years before the Imperial Civil War.
