Alcau is an agricultural, nonindustrial world still lacking adequate means to expand its economy.
- As an agricultural world, this world is a near-ideal environment for producing quality foodstuffs of plant, animal, and other forms. Quality foodstuffs are a major export commodity for this world.
- It requires extensive imports of outside technology to maintain a modern, star-faring society. Having to import most manufactured and high tech goods drives the price up for these items at this world.
- It is a member of the Third Imperium in the Wolf Subsector of Zarushagar Sector in the Domain of Ilelish.
- This is a "high technology" world with technology achievements at, near, or above the standard for Charted Space.
- This world has an Imperial Naval Base, capable of handling warships.
- It is a member of the Rhamsteppe-Mongrebi Main, forming part of the region known as The Access.

Stellar Data
Alcau has a solitary primary star.

System Data
The worlds of the system have been surveyed. They consist of:
- The mainworld.
- x11 secondary rocky worlds.
Mainworld Data
Mainworld Size (S)
Alcau is a Meso World between 12,000km and 13,500km in diameter. The world has a standard gravity between 0.8G and 1.1G. The horizon will appear about 5.1km away. Vessels with 1G of thrust should check with local starport authorities before attempting to land using emergency power.
Mainworld Atmosphere (A)
Alcau has a pressure of 1.50 to 2.49 atmospheres. While a Dense Atmosphere requires no survival gear this atmosphere also contains an unusual taint such as disease, a hazardous gas mix, pollutants, or sulfur compounds which requires the use of a Filter Mask. Some taints may require more protective equipment. TL–3 or more advanced survival gear is required to settle this world.
Mainworld Hydrosphere (H)
Alcau has 65-75% of its surface covered by liquid water. It has significant large liquid bodies. Wilderness refueling is possible.
Mainworld Geography and Topography
No centrally held map of the world exists within AAB Library Data records.
(Blank map, predominantly watery world.)
History & Background (Dossier)
Alcau lies on the Rhamsteppe-Mongrebi Main, an important trade route. It is a member of the region known as The Access, the long spine of the Main.
It is an important agricultural producer, supplying foodstuffs to inhospitable high population worlds such as Adni.
World Starport (St)
Alcau has a Class B Starport, a good quality installation which includes all the expected amenities including refined fuel for starships, brokerage services for passengers and cargo, and a variety of ship provisions. There is a shipyard capable of doing annual maintenance, overhauls and most kinds of repair, and construction of non-starships. Most ports of this classification have both a Highport and a Downport.
- This world hosts a Naval Base associated with the Imperial 62nd Fleet.
World Population (P)
